Gino makes a cameo appearance in the new Sky docu series “Deadline Day”, episode one when they film at a reception at the Italian Embassy and he speaks.
Also in the episode is coverage of the Cucho transfer.

Kronke hasn't pumped a lot of money into the club which is why they fell behind the top 4. Usmanov got frustrated, wanted to buy him out but Kronke refused.

It’s going to be absolutely glorious when they bottle it during the run in, and City snatch the title on the final day.

Don’t get me wrong, City winning the title is nothing to celebrate, but the pain it’ll cause Arsenal fans is something I can’t wait to enjoy. Not to mention, there’s no way Arteta, straight from the Pep school of whining and passive aggressive complaining, will be able to handle it without crying actual tears on the side line.

This mini-revival they are experiencing is a gut-punch, but the hope is only going to amplify the pain of the fall. An entire generation of Arsenal fans who’ve never seen them good before are about to have their souls sucked out live on Sky Sports, and I’m all here for it.

    Oh, and **** off Pozzo.

I don't know tbf. I used to watch it especially when they lost. But since one of them was (rightly) given a prison sentence a year or so back it sort of lost it's mojo. Anyway we have WD18 and DNSYE for post and pre match entertainment. Always in good company.

Totally disagree with this. Would much rather have Arsenal win than any of the other contenders this year. Still, I guess it takes all sorts.

He was, of course, from Luton. I remember them doing an AFTV interview outside the Vic after we'd beaten them and a few of our fans shouted something as they walked past. He responded in his hard man Ali G voice something along the lines of 'you man ain't gonna do ****, I'm from Luton, innit'.

It would be nice to see a team win it other than through pure spending power. Yes Arsenal have spent but generally on players the top 4 weren't interested in, or reserves from the top 4 squads.

That extensive media exposure has probably exhausted the poor bloke. Best withdraw from all interviews for another decade just to recover.

Fair enough. I know we have plenty of fans who support a big club too, and with the proximity of Arsenal it’s no shock people with an interest in Watford would also have a soft spot for them. As you say, it takes all sorts.

Not me though, absolutely despise them and their fans. As an uptight, moaning and whining, head up his own arse specialist, Arteta is a match made in heaven for those lot.

Bald fraud's son. I still cannot get my head around people who have been born in and around Watford supporting other club sides. Ditto for any team around the country. Support your local side. Arsenal should return south of the river anyway. Hope it all goes **** up for them and the other ESL teams plus Saudi Arabia.

In that case I should support Bristol Rovers. Or possibly Plymouth Argyle, based on upbringing.

It’s not as simple as that.

Spot on. Our fans are truly despicable and it will amuse me considerably to see their rage when the arse bottle it.

I want whichever team will upset the most kunce to win the league. It seems to me that's man city, so I share your view on this insignificant matter, which is actually none of a tinpot club like ours business anyway.

Don't mind that. Know a few fans of other clubs who have moved here but supported their hometown club.

That's more than fair enough Keighley. I have no objections to that either. It's the ones who who live in say Stockport and end up running over to the Emptyhad every week.

You can spot the ones who watch their favourite big club religiously by the ludicrous suggestions of a loan player in the transfer thread. Heavily Arsenal for the most part but a clear Scouser was exposed today.

Genuinely odd post about me. Next time you should comment/quote a post if you have a response.

For the record, I’ve been to Liverpool twice. Once for a student conference. And once to Goodison for Everton v Watford. The real criticism of my suggestion would be “when did you last watch Curtis Jones” as I can’t say I recall actually watching him so it may be a poorly thought out suggestion in that I know little about the player other than that he was hyped up a few years ago and appears to operate in the spaces we need a new player.

My least disfavoured big club is probably Spurs, for what it’s worth, though again my most recent trip to Haringey was to watch Spurs 1-0 Watford in 2021 (I live in the States these days).

They won the FA cup to win the double on the day of my 8th birthday party in 1971. The game was on the TV and I can still remember the news being shouted around the house when Charlie George hit the winner. When I started watching Watford they were 8th in Div 4 and were my little local team. Very different now of course but I’d prefer Arsenal to win any cup going to any one of the other big 6 for this reason and the fact that it would show it’s still possible to win without a team of £100m superstars. Think Citeh will win though, MU second.

You don’t deserve to be dug out as a Liverpool fan, I agree. But Curtis Jones was a pretty wild suggestion!

Although not as wild as Emile Smith-Rowe was a week or two back by someone!

I thought it was ambitious too...until I read tweets about him from Liverpool fans showing how lowly they rate him (though of course that might undermine the suggestion) and that he should be loaned out because he has no future at Liverpool. Of course, the only opinion that matters is Klopp’s but you can see that Jones is quite a bit down the pecking order even with Liverpool desperate for extra midfielders.

  32. Burnsy

But he would land at any number of PL, Serie A or Bundesliga clubs before our name was even considered viable. Whether Liverpool fans rate him or now, that’s the kind of level his name sits at.

Just not realistic in our current situation, that’s all.

May as well just put a fence around Luton and make it a prison. Save time for the criminal justice system

Maybe abroad? But he don’t think there are many, if any, PL teams he gets into, such is the level of the division these days. He might have the quality to get into a bottom half side, but a side in a relegation battle isn’t going to want to be patient and help develop a player who hasn’t played well in a year.

As I said, I know it sounds fanciful based on what we know about him from 2020 or whatever but if you search his name on Twitter and read about him and fan perception thereof, and look at how he’s struggled to get in the team even in cup games, and realise that he’s 22, it is more realistic than his name would indicate. Manga is also on record noting that he likes to take places stagnating/crowded out at big clubs.

Of course, this is all moot as of course it is unlikely to happen, but so are most suggestions in the suggestions thread for one reason or another. I just think it is rather more thought out than you’ve given me credit for.

I'm hearing this is all just a huge misunderstanding.
The Pozzos are in talks to sell steaks in Watford and Udine as they plan to open a number of Steakhouses offering prime Argentinian beef at very reasonable prices.
