Clearly the injuries to Choudhury and JP were absolutely nothing to do with the medical dept.
Or Gosling . And others . A few years back under Walter M we suffered a similar situation but that time it was our back 4 and the back up back 4 getting injured. Infuriating. But it happens.

Isnt it now 3 of our first team players out with ankle ligament damage. including two in the last two games? Its phenomenally bad luck really

    Weak ankles ?

    Boots too light ?

They're not boots are they, they're slippers?

I can't think of an item of footwear in sport that has become so flimsy.

If you look at tennis shoes even fifty years ago what do you see? The plimsoll that was Green Flash. Tennis shoes are much more robust, offer ankle (!) support and shock absorbers.

Perhaps football boots should have stayed at the 'Predator' stage. Light but durable.

Ballet shoes offer more protection and we all know how crippling ballet is to the body and dancers are extremely fit.

I've wondered if the problem is the studs in these lightweight 'boots'? These days most pitches are heavily watered before games and particuarly in the early stages of a match, it can be quite slippy. Therefore players tend to opt for quite long studs. Fine to some extent but could it be that as players turn fast and quickly, their studs anchor their foot too much and you get the twists & pulls to ankles and knees?

Do other teams get such injuries though?

Some have been unlucky but so many muscle injuries isn’t good.

We're now in a position where we won't be able to move on certain players this window because they're injured. Does that affect how many we can sign this month? We can only register 25, I think the club will hold back this window and wait for the injuries to clear up which is far from ideal.

There’s 8 players there that would probably start…

And it doesn’t even have Bachmann or Sarr on it - and they looked decidedly injured at the end there!

I’m laughing at all the Sheff Utd fans claiming their injuries have been worse this season, absolute idiots. They are very lucky we’ve been crocked all season. If we had our starting 11 fit for 95% of the season like they have, no doubt in my mind we would be second or top.

That is going to be my desktop wallpaper from now on. Just to remind myself how baffling it is we are still one of sides who could finish in the top six. I've supported Watford since I was 6 years old and I have never known a season like this for injuries. Baffling.

He amputated an arm, but was so careless he also chopped off the fingers of his assistant. Bot the patient and assistant died, but an onlooker also died from shock.

He is now heading up our medical team.

Surely our club is not run by rank, amateur idiots. Surely there's no way they can carry any blame for this simple misfortune.

Never mind getting in new players we'll need a new medical wing at London Colney.

Seems like Hamer is on the bench as Okoye is also injured (or at least was a couple of weeks ago).

It's no surprise he hasn't been seen since he f*cked up in the Blackpool friendly. I doubt he's injured, he's even said himself he might need to leave.

We have two league games before a game at the end of the month. We should try to smash and grab for those two games and hopefully pick up 4 points . Getting a proper rehab program going for our important players and bringing in a number of solid upgrades is the key. Can’t imagine that Gosling, Manaj, Hause, TDB will be included in the 25 man squad at the end of the month. Should open up a few places. Kobe and Martins are under 21, so presumably they do not count for the 25 man limit. The new Portuguese RB will take up a space. Have to look at how Louza and Cleverley are progressing to see if they are likely to be available for a good part of the remaining season. We have heard that the likely return date is in March for those two. Hopefully Davis, Choudhury and Pedro are good healers. Haven’t heard too much about Sema or Keyembe, which hopefully means that it is weeks rather than months. Lots of work to be done over the next few weeks for our new recruitment team (as well as the medical team)! Winter transfer window is tricky, particularly when we do not have resources, unless Sarr is off, which would not upset me.

At home to 2 teams in the bottom 4 people would expect 6 points but guess with the injuries and general nature of this league that isn’t exactly going to be an easy thing !

Let’s hope we don’t need a replay in the cup !

The run of 6 games after these 2 home games is very tough so getting 2 home wins would be very useful indeed.

Yeah, I was looking at the fixtures last night and I reckon that run of 6 determines if we’re play off contenders or midtable cannon fodder come April/May.

I know what you mean about Sarr and I kind of agree, but the fact remains that we wouldn’t have won yesterday without him.
