Pozzo has been running a circus for a while now yet people still cry when we are mocked for the ludicrous way our club is being handled. We deserve every bit of criticism we get now and in the years to come, that's the Pozzo legacy.

Lewandowski shouldn't have been allowed to retake that penalty. Not because of goalie encroachment, but because stuttering penalty run-ups deserve ridicule, whether or not they result in a goal. He should have been booked instead.

Yes, that is true but not from Dion Dublin, part-time presenter of Homes Under The Hammer, he hasn't earned the right for such a cheap shot. From anyone serious then it would be a justified criticism.

They were better tonight than against Argentina, but that wasn't hard! 3-1 probably a fair result on the balance of play

There was a time where I'd passionately defend the club after a sacking, but at some point in the last 3/4 years that stopped and now I can only sit back and grin wryly when people make the same old barbs

That keeps the pot quite small. Considering how triggered Watford fans get around the head coach thing, I’m not sure there is any. Our mob used to cry bloody murder when someone predicted the opposition would win.

Good luck today everyone! Can't really say I'll be cheering for you as I quite like both teams, but let the better team win and hopefully a very good game!

Sarr being hyped up by people who haven't seen him play in the last couple of seasons. Will it be the first or second half he'll limp off injured again.

    Aaaarghhh! First degree citricide!

    He was properly tangoed!

In the sense of the big fat British orange man who slaps people round the face and runs away, not the ultra-sensual romantic Argie bargie dance, obviously.

He's played against the majority of this England side in the PL, so he will be the most experienced (as have a few others of course). Would absolutely love it for him to be wearing his Watford Shinpads tonight. I think it's going to be a game like USA. We will sit back and hardly attack for the first ten or so, feeling eachother out. Any goals will probably come late on. My prediction is 2-2, England out by you know what.

On the subject of commentators and pundits, I'm surprised gravelly-voiced glaswegians and other assorted strongly- accented Caledonians seem to be so universally considered such sages when it comes to footballing matters.

They're always on - especially Sky it seems and also on the radio. Always chiming in with their doomy Private Frazer style tuppence worth after anything of note happens. "Ay he'll nae be coming back frae that tackle.." and other such profound wisdoms.

I mean when you consider how shyte Scottish football is. Never hardly qualify for world football tournaments and their champion teams get humiliatingly galumphed in European competitions. They considered Ikechi Anya to be the greatest thing that had come into their team in decades....

I can't see why we want to hear what they have to say.

Well, I guess when you consider the ages of those pundits and the eras in which they played in, it's not a surprise, they made up a huge proportion of the English leagues back then!

Southgate drops our best player in the last game and brings back saka who got hauled off in his last start. England will play at least 80 minutes of this in safe mode is my prediction.

Stutter runs ups should invalidate a keeper coming off the line imo.

If I were a manager there would be fines for silly steps jumps or stutters. Double if the penalty was missed. You could slam Troy for a few things but he knew how to hit a penalty. The England Italy euros loss was a piss take from the English players.

Sam Matterface says this England game will be the highest rating programme so far this year ..

Will it beat the numbers for the Queen’s funeral?

Looks like Rashford will have to come on and save England at this rate. I would've played him over Foden tonight.

Archetypal tournament performance. Soak up the pressure and then hit them hard with a sustained burst of intensity. Pretty much what the Dutch did to the USA and France did to Poland earlier.
