It was nearly 15 minutes in the end. Said 8, clock stopped for 2 because of head injury and yet still the ref managed to unearth an extra 3 min to try and fix the game. TBF I think Argentina could have had 100 more minutes and still wouldn't have scored.

I remember when Argentina players used to play with daggers between the teeth as well as having skill.

Brilliant stuff from the Saudis, one of them nearly died for the cause ffs.

Yeah, absolutely no idea where the extra 6 minutes came from, I’m all for the real stoppage time being added on but that was ********.

Truly one of the all-time great team performances. The goals were great quality, the defending was outstanding, work-rate unquestionable and some excellent saves from the keeper. Brave tactics played to perfection.

    Waiting for Argentina to score.

See Denmark got held - another surprise.

Maybe the lesser teams aren't so bad after all.

I'm hearing there is a late VAR decision in the Argie game. 1-1 final score.

You ain't see nothin' yet. Given Bachmann's injury, when we play Huddersfield on 17th Dec, at corners you may get to see Holmes under the Hamer, live.

Lewandowski misses with a really crap pen. Still can't score in a World Cup.

Mexico playing with NEW energy as opposed to the crap old energy.

Martin Keown trying to suck the life out of the commentary.

I don't see Argentina not beating both of these.

For the 1st time in ever, I'm preferring ITV. But you can add 5live commentary on the red button which I find nicer. If you can tolerate non HD images.

Time to place your bets for the amount of time to be added on.

    +7 mins.

Excellent. A Mexican fan with sombrero and replica World Cup.

Is this infinity sign that appears bookending replays relating to time waiting for Argentina to score from open play?

Wonderful result for S. Arabia. Arge' were very unlucky with three goals ruled out, but all three were justified. Massive pressure on them now for the next two games.

Shouldn't Vincent Kompany be looking after his Burnley team rather than being a pundit.

Australia makes it all look so easy, nice winger assist for the other winger to score. Like a GT team in its prime.

Not a knee jerk reaction but I think England, Saudi Arabia or Australia will lift the trophy this time round.

    Is that unlucky?

Myself I find it weird that it can be just your hand and forearm offside and you get VAR'd... when you can't play the ball with your arm anyway.

This Aussie team are a fashion nightmare. Bad taches, poorly executed mohawks and mullets abound.

Probably let off as Burnley are doing well .

Be some hand ringing if they weren’t.
