The travelling fans left the body of the evil Harrow Orn in a shallow grave, they packed away their tents and just as the last embers of the sun set below the horizon they headed off in the direction of Qatar.

The night was surprisingly cold as the wind swept across the loose sand, a bright moon above in the night sky gave them enough light to navigate their way through the desert. Mostly they walked in groups of twos and threes, occasionally stopping to have a drink. Domthehornet needed to stop to relieve himself, "Wait" he shouted, only one of the group heard him and came by, "Don't worry my friend, I have GPS, and I'm hungry." He said, "I fancy I nice raw burger right now".
"Raw?" Questioned Dom, "Who's eats raw burgers".
"Once you have a taste of raw meat, you can't get enough of it." The companion said.
"But that's gross, what's your favourite? Steak tartare perhaps?"
"No, not for me, I prefer fresh primate washed down with their blood".
Domthehornet realised that he was in grave danger at this point, he turned to run but tripped and fell on the floor. "Feeding time!" The companion muttered and stepped on Dom's throat, looked up at the sky and gazed at the Moon, then transformed into a wolf and devoured Dom. Looking away from the Moon the beast slowly wandered back towards the group, he followed their scent, full and content and looking like normal again.

    Domthehornet was good.

As the night drew on, the wind started to blow harder and sand was getting in the travellers' eyes. "That's it, I'm stopping here" said Burnsy, "I'll hide in this wadi until the winds die down."
"We'll never make it in time for the matches," complained one of the masons. A handful of the group continued on and agreed a rendezvous in a couple of hours, the rest stayed in the wadi.
A few minutes later the winds did drop and some of the others left to carry on. The group was stretched out and rather disorganised, finally Burnsey decided it was time to crack on but nobody was around. "I'm on my own, how could they abandon me?" He moaned. Then he heard a shuffling noise from above the lip of the wadi, he climbed up to take a look, as he peered over said "Who's ther....", he was jumped on by a wolf and knocked back to the bottom of the wadi. The wolf scampered down and finished him off.

    Burnsy was good.

At the front of the disjointed group, Steve Leo Beleck led the way, one other companion walked alongside him, "I hope the others are OK" he said, but his companion said, "Don't worry about the others, I am here to protect you tonight." Showing Steve a silver dagger. "Don't tell the others".

The sky started to brighten in the east as the Moon simultaneously was grazing the horizon in the west, the leading two stopped near an oasis, pitched their tents and waited. In time the others slowly arrived at the meeting point in dribs and drabs. After a while no one else turned up, "We're two short" said one of the masons, "Dom and Burnsy are missing".

Well, that's me in the frame then! Burnsy and Dom were both accusing me at the latter stages of yesterday. I'd vote for me at this point.

Not really. No point reading anything into yesterday as no-one really knew anything!

Actually it was Norn and Burnsy. Either way, I'd have had to be quite blatant to target someone so obviously if I were a wolf.

Well, we have one evil player gone, we have lost 2 goodies and we should hopefully get 2 messages today. I still think we are in a good place for Day 2.

I had originally assumed Harrow must have been the traitor, but only 2 wolf kills last night suggests he was one of 3 wolves to me, which is a bigger win still.

I'd agree with SLB, there wasn't a lot to go on yesterday.

Someone posted that you like to help push things along in the early stages anyway. I'd be surprised if anyone saw it as anything more than that, at this stage at least!

    Great news about Harrow.

Anyone know why Burnsy and Dom were targeted?

As SLB like the odds it does mean that if we only have 2 wolves and a traitor, that we are down to 4/1, which will make him happy.

  9. Morning all. Great lynching last night! Shame about the 2 good kills overnight but at least the 2 wolves still don't know each other.

Assuming the traitor is still alive.

The Guardian protected SLB too. Wonder if they saw anything to suggest protecting them?

As has been said I also think Harrow was a wolf and not the alpha.

I don’t think we have much else to go on though.

    Need to wait for messages

Im assuming the SLB protection was due to SLB making the most valuable contribution to team good yesterday as made the logical argument to go for harrow

I presume it was because nornironhorn asked to be protected buy the Guardian, after being named as good in what was suspected to be the seers message, so it was almost a double bluff.

Morning team - whilst a shame to lose Dom and Burnsy last night, that was a cracking result with the lynching of Harrow.

Only Otter will know whether or not he would have been ousted for inactivity, but obviously it’s a good thing we didn’t leave it to chance.

I think I would probably want the Seer to view Moog if I had to suggest anyone for today. That being said, I don’t have a whole heap of rationale for that, it’s more his early voting and his target for yesterday that jumps off the page compared to the rest.

Interesting night had there. Let's hope we get into earlier messages (mainly because I'm back in work today)

Two experienced players picked off would suggest an experienced player is weaving a web

If Harrow was a wolf, then one would expect the traitor to at least make a bit of an effort to move the vote away from him (even if his inactivity might've meant that it could've been a token effort)....

Red herring. Everyone's played the game before multiple times as far as I'm aware.

The reason I put in the rules to not use experience as a reason to suspect/view/kill/protect someone is because most people have played many times and as such nearly all of us are experienced.

In the last game in June I was the traitor and a wolf took me out on the first night because they wanted to get rid of an experienced player, from that point on my side was always going to lose.

Dom probably got munched as he said he thought he knew what the code was in the first message.

Burnsy didn't really say much but did point out that Moog went for Ashdon early and other than Dom's finger slip voting for himself, Moog was the only person who didn't vote for Harrow.

On that basis and yesterday being a complete punt in general, would probably view Moog on the basis he could be a traitor. Thin gruel but little else to go on.

Morning on this rainy day villagers. Your seer here.

Today much is clearer. Earlier I viewed Nornironhorn. He is Evil. Yesterday I viewed Good Ashdon.

Hopefully the player I pick tomorrow will also be right.

    Interesting person to view/name!

Will wait for the second message before putting any theories out there...

In fairness, was pure luck that he was Evil! I thought we'd probably just be getting rid of a regular villager.

Morning all - RIP dom and Burnsy :(.

Will wait for second message before drawing too many conclusions but that is a surprising view for me, if it is the Seer.

Ugh - just wrote a long paragraph full of logic about nornironhorn and why he seems more likely good than evil but then deleted it all as it dawned on me that the full moon last night makes yesterday’s play pretty much irrelevant. Team Good have to effectively start again from today.

Morning all, great result with the lynching but a shame to lose two of our number overnight.

There is no code in that message, would lead me to think it is the same person who viewed Ashdon yesterday?

    Morning guys, sorry about yesterday.

Interesting first message, don't agree it's a "surprising" view, if it is The Seer there's not much for him/her to go off right now. If it is the Wolf, Seer messaging sooner rather than later could be helpful.

    Good Morning Comrades.

Your Seer speaking. What a great start to the week. I wasn’t able to help on day 1 taking a stab in the dark and viewing nornironorn who was GOOD.

It was hard today as no-one was defending Harrow or acting out of favour. But this morning it was suggested that I should view Moog and Moog themselves said that at this stage they would vote for themselves. So I took their advice and Moog is confirmed EVIL.

    Confirmation:
    nornironorn – day 1 – GOOD
    Moog – day 2 - EVIL

If ever there was a moment to grace an occasion like this, at a venue like this. 12,701.

Well, now we know which message is from the Wolf! Pretty transparent to me, but then I know my role.

Hmmm, I don't like it. Wouldn't put a double bluff past Moog but I just think it's too obvious. Which means an inexperienced newbie wolf or some great luck from The Seer.

We/you can then confirm Ashdon and Norn are good.

There is no way moog does a double bluff on day 2 .

Why don’t you think it’s a surprising view? To me it seems like a bit of a rookie move to view norn today tbh.

Why? If you know you're good, then when why wouldn't you advocate us lynching the other person which would also prove it (subject to any tinker shenanigans) and we'd have taken out an evil a day earlier?

Because I have to live by the sword and die by the sword. If one of you was named evil, even in such an obvious wolf message, I'd probably vote for you unless something else was at play which gave me an alternative.

I'm trying to see from the point of view of Team Good, rather than just my own interests.

  35. HappyHornet24

    HappyHornet24 Crapster Staff Member

Ok this was my logic re why I wouldn’t have viewed nornironhorn if I were the seer:
    - two kills last night after a full moon means that I am assuming Harrow was the Beta wolf
    - that means we had the Alpha and the Traitor in our midst during yesterday’s play
    - nornironhorn was the first to say he was going to vote for Harrow if he remained inactive; a traitor wouldn’t do that, which would mean that nornironhorn would have to have been the Alpha to be Evil - it would be very punchy and unlikely (albeit not impossible) to name yourself good on Day 1 as the Alpha.
So that is why I wouldn’t have had nornironhorn on the top of my list to view today if I were the Seer.

BUT the full moon makes yesterday’s play irrelevant (apart from the play by the traitor) as one of the players who was good yesterday is now evil. So although it is a surprising view, it could be a real one.

Re Moog, that view does make more sense as he initially tried to advocate voting for a named player yesterday. But is it too obvious?
