10 pints for a correct score (12 if it's a draw), if not then 5 for correct result, if not then 2 for correct goals scored by one of the teams!, hope that's clear! haha! should anyone miss a round default is a 3-0 score. Any questions or if anyone thinks their score is wrong please send me a pm!
Match 19 scores, all about as damp a squid as our result was @tonycotonstache 1st place with 21 points @WatfordÉire in last place with a poor 2, save a few peoples blushes who only scored 4!
@Dreadnought still holding onto 1st place quite nicely! Next games are up Teide1's Score Prediction League Match 20 Starting Tuesday 8th November | WFC Forums
I am going to use a random number generator next time 0-3, see what happens. Cant do any worse than I am lol. https://www.random.org/
Where can I find last seasons prediction league weekly scores? I want to compare scores to see if we predict scores better in the Prem or Champo, I am assuming the Prem is easier to predict but want to see if there is any difference. I am assuming the scoring system is the same? Edit, I found it https://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/correct-score-league-leaderboard.58623/ here is the link if you are as sad as me. Another Edit, The top 19 from week 19 last season scored equal or above where we are this season. The Champo really is unpredictable it seems. Top of the league was Another_MrLizard with 381 which is 46 points more than the leader this season, this all depends on whether the scoring system is the same of course.
I got more points than I thought, I've now reached the bottom of mid table! Btw, I must have missed the argument squib v squid but even if it's an in joke I've missed, the answer is unequivocally squib. A squib can be like a firework banger so a damp one would go phoof! Rather than bang! Hence damp squib.
The idea of repetition probably stems from this. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/...ildren-repetition-and-how-it-helps-them-learn
The scoring system is exactly the same as last season, the major difference I believe is the match result itself is harder to predict where’s in the PL there are many bankers which go to form. No one predicted us to lose against Coventry. Onviously with so many results incorrect means very few correct scores, I have sometimes pointed out how many correct scores there are and will do so every match from now usually ranges from 2-10 per round. Round 19 has 8 correct results with 4 people predicting Stoke would lose to Birmingham at home 2-1!, 26 people predicted Blackburn to,win at home although only 3 predicted a 1-0 score! The upshot is the Championship is harder to predict than the P.L.
Also this https://an-autistics-view.co.uk/media-and-repetition/ when added to this https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4986048/ probably explains a lot. Basically we are all on the autistic spectrum somewhere. Probably why I am doing this in a thread about predicition league scores haha.
Think that's my highest finish in any given week, although not much of an achievement this time round!
....as you must have told us a thousand times by now.....along with the million times you've told us how important it is not to exaggerate.
9 correct scores this round, which is average, top scorer @miked2006 with 31 points jumps from 21st to 14th place, also mention to @K9 Hornet who was 2nd with 27 points and jumped from 35th all the way up to 34th!
@Dreadnought continues to lead with no decent scores at the top this week, as previously mentioned @miked2006 the big mover this round
FFS, the random number generator method I used is my highest score for at least 10 weeks!!! Just checked and it is my third highest score also, I will carry on using it for a while.
Mainly down to Troy scoring a late goal and WFC winning I might add, does your random number generator have a maximum number of 3, which was the highest number in your predictions!
Good week for @cyaninternetdog with 29 points, bringing up the rear again I'm afraid @domthehornet with a lowly 2 points
Leaderboard changes @cyaninternetdog jumps from 23rd to 15th place. @Dreadnought extends their lead from 15 - 27 points at the top!
Enjoy your break. Thankyou for all the work involved in this. Work on your fitness and good luck for the second half I’m sure you’ll move up the table…
