A bout of World Cup flu? Really doesn't harm us to rest him in the hope he has a solid World Cup. He isn't signing a new contract by the looks of it and 18 months is prime time for bids. If he gets injured and misses the World Cup, we only lose.
Kalu has been looking promising of late, hopefully I'm not being too blasé in suggesting we won't miss Sarr if Kalu plays in his place?
Would be nice to see Kalu start. Sarr has pace (when he wants to use it), but remember Kalu has years and years and years of experience in the game. Surely that must count for something? Plus, as you said he has been playing well in the spells he has come on this season.
Yep. Think we were manageress for that one... we picked a great time to start supporting WFC didn't we?
Been out of this forum for quite some time as I was busy at work. Looking forward to this one, hopefully another good performance and 3 points. COYH!
I would call that blasé. Kalu has looked interesting but a few stepovers doesn't guarantee he can replace our highest goal contributor. I'm glad about his surprising emergence nonetheless.
Bachmann Gaspar WTE Cathcart Sema Choudhury Gosling Kalu Asprilla JP Davis Okoye, Kabasele, Sierralta, Morris, Kayembe, Sarr, Bayo. Brizzle 1 - 6 Watford 'Orns!
He's good at man-marking from corners though; I've heard it's hard to imagine getting closer than him.
I started going to games quite young so have no early match memories apart from my very first game where I have very clear memories...... We beat Reading 3-0 at home, Ken furphy was manager, A tubby Barry Dyson scored all 3 (I think), and I remember they had a dirty player called John Chapman and I booed him most of the game, Getting almost lifted and carried up the Vic Road steps with the crowd after the game., Lots of people with wooden clack rattles, Strange whirls of cigarette smoke wafting around...... Freezing cold feet standing on those steps...
Think it was Terry Garbett got that hat trick, if I remember correctly. But I do remember Barry Dyson scoring 4 in a 5-1 win against Northampton though.
One of the best of its era if not all time, I much prefer it to Unknown Pleasures good though that album is.
You just smashed my oldest memory on the rocks.! You could be right, maybe my little brain cobbled 2 early games together....
Tiny Rebel - bit hoppy or fruity for me but fancy trying their marshmallow porter. Not tried Wiper tho.
TR do tend to err on the side of experimental which can be good or can be crap. Their lemon and lime lager was rather good as is clwb Tropicana Wiper and True do a lovely milk stout, haven't had much more of their range tbf, think I had their IPA but don't really remember it.
