A few more thoughts I think we play better against teams like cardif who play through the middle rather than hoof it up pitch, think this is why we struggled in the last 15 after they made their three subs and started playing long. I watch most of the 2nd half on cardif TV when hive went down, they are jolly nice people, very complimentary and knowledgable , cleverly on the other hand was a truly poor presenter. we missed Davis, I think Bayo is alright , but Davis has that bit more to offer, is he due back for Saturday?

Now Slav has got his feet under the table and has worked with the team for a short time my thoughts are the following: 1) Rob Edwards was a glorified PE teacher 2) All those who thought it was OK if we finished mid-table with our squad as long as we didn’t sack our manager don't know what they are talking about. Are squad has a lot of depth and is more then capable of going up automatically this season. All we needed was a good football manager like Slav (winner), a not a PE teacher like Edwards! (loser) 3) When we win games no one moans about “Culture” & “Identity” 4) Get back in the prem, learn from our previous recruitment mistakes (buy decent defenders), stay in the prem, improve the financial position. 5) I guess the Pozzo out brigade will be back the next time we lose a game (yawn)

And more importantly most will agree that Slaven Bilic has shown real understanding of our squad and this league. And anyone who has watched Watford for the past few years will agree that we can learn from the past and invest in the defence. On the whole, yes, I agree. I’m sure you’re being provocative and I have risen to the bait, but you really think the question of culture and identity is all done with, now we’ve won 3 in a row? I don’t want to hold the position of ‘Gino Out’, but, with a heavy heart I currently do. I will happily change my mind when I’m convinced that he can oversee a good culture and strong identity at the club, to pick up on your chosen themes.
Wasn't expecting to win that one. Mainly due to question marks over our squad's desire to do 3 hours work a week. Well done to Slav for knocking some kind of mentality into this shower of sh1te. Yup, unfortunately some of the 'moderating' and censorship on here is both biased and subjective. Some mods seem happy to facilitate online abuse while at the same time being scared of being sued for defamation by people not on the forum, which will never happen.

As I said pre match, this is probably the first time we see a match sharp Gosling in midfield. I thought he broke up play very well, and made sure play went forward. Choudhury I think is the sort of player that needs competition, and to date for various reasons he's had zero

The moaning about the shoutbox is utterly bizarre, if you hate the shoutbox you must hate live games as well as it closely mirrors the match day experience where people react to things in real time, in the moment, either positively or negatively. It’s not a home for long term considered views, like live games, it’s just literally what pops into peoples head in that split second. People do exactly the same thing sitting next to me at a match as they do in the shoutbox, one minute a player is playing ****, then they score or do something good and they’re a hero. To make it even more bizarre last night was actually very good natured, there was actually very little moaning, but instead talk about certain actors favourite films to fill the time during the extremely dull and predictable opening period. Some people really are incredibly delicate little flowers, who I assume have never actually been to a game of football.
I fully agree, the relentless Pozzo sympathisers certainly ruin the enjoyment for many. Some of us sometimes what to have a debate and discussion about what is actually happening at the club beyond the latest result.
You don’t want to debate it. You want to tell us everything is carp and how anyone who doesn’t realise it is blind. Shoutbox used to be good to get fans view on how the game was going, formation etc. I’ve never blocked a poster on the forum but I certainly would if it was possible on shoutbox and it might be an enjoyable experience again.

Think we need to keep hold of Sarr. He is growing under Bilic and thought he was excellent last night. If he helps us get promoted again, he will have more than paid the £30m fee.

I do love it when posters come on and say they don’t use the shoutbox like their presence is essential to it existing, or that it’s a punishment to all the others if they don’t come on. And it’s the first thing they come on the forum to say after a pretty bloody impressive comeback victory. Just goes to show the weird little world they live in, which can’t have much else but football in it.
