Especially with that donkey Sierralta missing headers from their aimless punts forward and wrestling opponents at the back all game...
Cathcart is still an important squad member, make of that what you will, but thankfully Sierralta is back, I think it's fair to say he's still our best defender
Air fryers. Kursal Flyers. All very confusing. Imodium Town, very good indeed who said that? Ah Reg! Good work sir!
At 38 yrs old, asking him to play a full game might be a bit much. Okoye is far taller than Bachmann, but he makes Bachmann look like Maradona. Have you ever seen a giraffe ice skate? Think of that and you have Okoye with the ball at his feet.
tue, however in the past one thing we have missed is somebody that can score this kind of basic goal. Watching today Bayo is def not as physical as Davis and isn’t the kind of play to hoof the ball up to , but I thought he was alright , played a few nice one-twos showed a bit of skill on the ball. Reality is he doesn’t have the skill of JP/Sarr or the physicality of Davis , but does seem to have the goal scoring (hanger) instinct
I thought we played reasonably well today, and good to build on the crushing of Luton last weekend, finally getting back to back wins. Second half we faded away but we got the job done, just about. Let’s see how we get on against Cardiff to see if we can really push on for the Play Offs. Kalu looked very bright when he came on & I’m thinking he could be pretty useful this season. Oh and Bayo actually managed to hold the ball up fairly well today!?
I apologise. I will duly award you 80% more life and now foresee your death at 90. Probably from an Kalu-type natural causes type thing. Air fryers rule.
Really? I’d probably say the opposite applies - Wigan were bright from the start and a constant threat at times in the first half but faded badly after half time and really it was just our inability to string much together than kept them in it.
Very true, Bayo doesn't deserve the stick he's got (a lot of it must be because of the Bayat links), but ultimately, for a pure poacher type, you need someone who can get the ball to him, whereas Davis can create things on his own
That’s a bloody important result. If we had limped to another awful result after a good win than it would be hard to see that pattern ever breaking. This gives me faith that the players are bought into Slav’s message. When we’ve walked to the title and reflect on the season we may look at that thrashing of the **** and today as the point it started happening.
Don't forget we still have Manaj to come back at some point in the next two seasons. Imagine Bilic having a choice of Bayo, Manaj, Davis or Pedro to start a game. Talk about Sophie's choice.
What's the key? Had a bash at them tonight, but they weren't great. Either overloaded the basket or not enough oil? Was on for about half an hour. I usually just cut them up, drizzle and toss in olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and then 40 min in the oven and they're glorious.
I am pleased beyond all measure to learn this! All we need is your immortal line ... "And may all of your donuts turn out like ...!"
Are you genuinely going to say ‘on to the next one’ after every game? It’s the same as ‘we go again’. It implies you don’t have much opinion but will give some next time. However….
Good away win. Keeps us within the mix given that others also won today. Also, probably should have been more comfortable at the end as we should have had a pen.
I just felt we had a few good moments in the first half, with some slick moves, and Sarr should’ve finished off a nice move. Second half Pedro seemed to be a bit quieter in my opinion & we couldn’t break Wigan down, but I have to agree the last 15 or so minutes it was one way traffic.
CEEFAXification Oh, the utter joy of being in my local boozer and happening to check the scoreline once again at the exact moment it changed from 0-0 to 0-1!!! An 87th-minute winner, away from home, and then I read that they hit the crossbar in the 98th minute??? I can't really compute why anyone cares about anything other than the result.
I really hope this story is true. Unsurprisingly Mrs Keighley has refused to look it up on the internet.
