Hope Pollock's got a good leap on him, and Millwall don't have any players with two functioning legs.
I can understand Cathcart's omission given he is just back from injury and he will no doubt want to play Sunday. Personally I would of started Bayo over Davis, reason being Davis is a good impact player off the bench second half and although Bayo has his faults he can score a goal from close range. Pollock gets his first start so well done to him, could be a baptism of fire mind.
Davis is a better all round player in terms of contribution to the play, though, and he can also score a goal from close range.
I should add, it did look suspiciously like he was aiming for the guy and he did immediately turn around and start remonstrating with Louza. So it certainly didn't look like the "numerous others did" throughout the match. Not to me anyway.
Being decent in the air is pretty much the main thing Pollock has going for him. It's still a huge worry we're having to play him though; even a draw will be a good result from this.
Jaysus, back 4 doesn't instill much confidence, even though Gosling has been decent at RB, and Kamara ok at LB. Pollock and WTE was a combo I thought we only might see in the annual league cup game.
It's OK we've had on rb most of the season. It's just the natural end of days way Ginos lack of investment is taking us. Imagine Sunday with a a back three of Gaspar, Troost Ekong and Kalu.....
It was the combo in the league cup against MK Dons and it was awful but apparently players don’t try in early round cup ties so let’s pray & hope they’re better today!
As I've alluded to earlier in this thread, it would have been before the team news given their home form, prowess on set-pieces, and our weakness on set-pieces. With such an inexperienced and iffy CB it's just even more so.
It's a surprise JP is on the bench again, he seemed lively enough when he came off the bench at the weekend and his additional physicality could be handy.
It's already apparent that Pollock's passing is crap and other players are reluctant to give it to him knowing he'll lose it. And as I type, Pollock makes an error to give them a goal.
