This is the first home match I’ve missed for a very long time. I have been struggling to justify the 225 mile round trip. After the Swansea game I thought enough is enough and I didn’t watch the Blackpool game thank God. I hope I’m wrong but another pointless evening tonight is looking on the cards. Cathcart in midfield? I’ll be back at the Vic against Luton but dreading it. Come on Watford turn it around starting tonight.
75% have voted for a Norwich victory on here. I say 5-0 to Norwich. I don't think Kalu will come on. He has just had Jelly and Ice Cream at the OAP home. To play on a full stomach is not a good idea. Not on the bench with the other subs, but sitting in his mobility scooter along side them. Even at his age, he will still be quicker than Pollock. The grass actually grows as Pollock runs.
Bilic is happy how they’ve trained this week . Let’s hope to see some kind of reaction tonight and would like to see them start on the front foot for once !
Louza is class. OTT comment but the way he plays he wouldn’t look out of place playing for Citeh Sarr looking good today! Davis annoys me a little bit - seems quite stroppy and moany. Could be wrong though!
Fascinating tactical ploy by Bilic to put Sarr on the left. Something a good experienced coach can come up with and would probably never have occurred to Edwards. I’m also greatly enjoying the analysis from Mick McCarthy on co-commentary.
Can we play like that every game please? Or is it only when the Sky cameras are on us that we can play like that?!
Thank **** for that , reasonable performance , attack looked good , defence shaky Sarr turned up and made the difference , asprilla is turning into a player hope he gets a goal soon No shocking performances , but did spend the last 45 mins convinced we would lose
Great first half. Soon as we conceded the timid nature of our play and lack of confidence was telling. Bilic is starting to get things in order I hope. Need a team psychologist for certain. And still Pozzo out. Sarr looked menacing. But Asprilla for his work off the ball, chasing down, holding off players and circulating the ball with comfort was superb. And he's just eighteen. He'll be a top, top player. The team also looks tired again. Fitness not up to scratch still and a thin squad due to injuries and inepitude means we're overworking certain players. Fingers crossed this confidence carries on into Millwall. And nice to see the OAP make that chase and block. Well worth his fee that.
Perhaps it's a Norwich thing, they are quite a 'nice' team to play against, but that was a good performance, all over them in the first half, should have been at least 3, and then we did what we had to do in the second half
Huge win for the team. They all put in a shift and deserved it. Sarr MOTM, they couldn't handle him, particularly 1st half. Cathcart and WTE did alright as a central defensive pair against one of the best teams in this league. Good to have Cathcart back and no Kabasele, he made some important interceptions at times. On to the next one.
That's pretty much the best this piddly league has to offer this season, and we deservedly beat them, with Dan Gosling at RB, and presumably rock bottom confidence. Maintain this sort of level, keep a RB fit, keep Kabasele injured, and we might go on a decent run.
Cathcart was excellent. By no means a fantastic passer but he's competent at playing it into the midfielders and it makes a huge difference. Plus it helps with Louza and Asprilla showing for the ball.
