We can't expect all of them to be fit all the time, but similarly we can't expect them all to be injured all season neither. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we go up, but play-offs are achievable

I do not share in your hopes.
I feel mid to lower table if Edwards remains in the post.

Well I think what these injured players do show is we are lacking fitness and the ability to cope with 3 games in a week ?

It is a worry someone like Sarr seems to be injured every other games when we are basically relying on him (and Pedro )in attack .

Well for some reason I watched Reading v Sunderland yesterday. How on Earth Reading could if fine second and were unbeaten at home is perplexing. Absolutely shocking performance by them. Sunderland may not have a recognised striker Saturday after Simms was substituted first half. It didn't stop them scoring three after he went off though. Look a half decent side who work for one another. In fact their third was a thing of beauty. Sorry but no chance we win against them on performance thus far.

    No striker ?

That will confuse our defence even more as they will have no idea who to mark!!

Oh I think they've got having no idea who to mark down to a tee.

From our squad as it currently stands, ignoring player growth / decline as the season goes on. Also this assume we play 5-3-2 predominantly:

    Promotion calibre players:
Hause, Kamara, Louza, Pedro, Sarr, Davis (1x CB, 1x LWB, 1x CM, 3x ST)

    Play-Off calibre players:
Bachmann, Okoye, Cathcart, Sierralta, Sema, Choudhury, Asprilla (2x GK, 2x CB, 1x LWB 2x CM)

    Mid-Table calibre players:
Gaspar, Ngakia, Kabasele, WTE, Cleverley, Gosling, TDB, Kayembe, Kalu, Bayo (2x RWB, 2x CB, 4x CM, 2x ST)

    Relegation quality players:
Hamer, Pollock, Hungbo, Manej (1x GK, 1x CB, 1x LWB, 1x ST)

Based on the above, we have 13 Play-Off or better quality players. (2x GK, 3x CB, 2x, LWB, 3x CM, 3x ST)

We should be in the Play-Offs come Season end based on how I see this squad. I'm sure people would move a few players up or down a bracket as they see fit but the gist is there. Every Play-Off or better squad has a large amount of filler as is a necessary evil. We just have too many for me to consider us a Auto-Promotion squad.

    Notes:
Okoye was a stand out goalkeeper in the Eredivisie. He's at least Play-Off calibre.
I can see TDB being a Play-Off level CM when he's fit but without further evidence I'm leaving him as Mid-Table.
Asprilla is still too prone to drifting in and out of games, but his quality edges him to Play-Off than Mid-Table as he'll make 2-3 high quality chances a game.
Sema, despite his short comings, is a very solid Championship winger. Think we forget some of the dross that can be faced further down the table.
Hungbo and Pollock can grow, but based on current evidence that's where I see them.

How many times have we played 3 games in a week?

Sarcasm l am sure, but just in case it is not.
We don't mark anyone. They will stand around like statues, no change there.

It's all a matter of opinions but I think you're one of many that overestimate the players in our squad. Unfortunately, our senior leadership do the same IMO.

Using your layout, this is where I'd place them:

    Promotion calibre players:
Hause, Kamara, Louza, Pedro, Sarr, Davis

    Play-Off calibre players:
    Bachmann, Okoye, Choudhury

    Mid-Table calibre players:
Ngakia, WTE, Cleverley, TDB, Kayembe, Sierralta, Sema, Asprilla, Cathcart, Bayo

    Relegation quality players:
Hamer, Pollock, Hungbo, Manej, Gaspar, Kabasele, Gosling, Kalu,

One of our problems is that in the absence of TC, no one is "managing" the ref. The officials at this level are mediocre and inconsistent. Blackburn got away with a lot of nonsense on Tuesday night as did Rotherham the week before. Three minutes second half stoppage time on Tuesday night was a joke.

I think this is broadly accurate, although I'm not sure how we can fully judge Okoye and Kalu (not that it matters as they are firmly in the role of backup even when fit!)

As much as Cleverley has declined as a player, I do think we've missed his leadership on the pitch. Cathcart is the last player that should be wearing the armband. Never see him encouraging in any real way, or engaging in the 'dark arts' of getting in the ref's ear, that Deeney excelled at.

I know it's easy to rate the player on the bench or in the treatment room, God knows I've been guilty of it, but I wonder if we have all been too harsh on Clev, sure he looked off the pace, but in fairness, some of that must be down to the fact that he had a limited pre-season. Not saying he's worthy of being a starter, but he should be a decent player to bring off the bench

I guess last Saturday was off ..

They just got injured in training.
That was kind of the point .

    Be even more clueless .

Wonder no longer - we haven't. It was patently clear last season, and just as much, if not even more so, this time round a level below.

I don't necessarily disagree with Talk's suggestion that we miss what meagre leadership he offers on the pitch (when compared to any other player we have; pitiful to a man in that regard) but the answer is not to reinstate Cleverley - it's to find someone capable of contributing on the pitch whilst offering that missing factor.

Let's hope we manage it before the window slams shut!

Guess the Birmingham mid week game was after the Friday night v Burnley ?

    Yes it was.
The game before was on the Monday, so Monday - Friday - Tuesday, not 3 in a week.
The game after was on the Saturday, so Friday - Tuesday - Saturday, not 3 in a week.

Boro draw at home to Rotherham, probably a good result for us as it stops Rotherham from pulling ahead, and also keeps Boro firmly behind us. If our season has been 'stop-start' what is Boro's so far?

Actually they are Duxbury's puppets and I wouldnt be at all surprised if at least 1 of them has been offered help with his career in return for gaslighting Watford fans and backing the regime. Duxbury saw Watford fan groups, youtubers and podcasters as a threat to his narrative and now he owns their sad turncoat asses

Hause, Davis and Sarr are all injury prone. How many games will they play?

Okoye to the Mid -Table group at best.

Cathcart, Bayo, Ngakia to be added to the Relegation group

Okoye’s quality is largely irrelevant considering you can only play one keeper at a time.

Just watched the highlights from the MK Dons game again (I don't know why either) and Okoye looked worse than I remember. How he didn't save the second I'll never know.
