I think there was a dreadful decision in almost every match today.

Leeds weren't given a stonewall penalty.

Forest won a penalty for a point blank handball that was referred to VAR, and Michael Oliver refused to change his mind.

Villa twice were flagged offside in really dangerous situations when they were clearly onside and the ref/ linesman didn't play on, with the ball for one subsequently hitting the back of the net.

Slightly less clear, but Virgin van Dijk was a dirty b*stard once again, and could have got a red for a nasty tackle.

Newcastle player was pushed into the Palace keeper by a Palace player who subsequently scored an own goal, and it was stupidly disallowed.

And Chelsea were given one of the worst decisions I have ever seen, pre or post VAR. Really shockingly (shown on comical reels) bad.

    Just awful.

All because generally they don't want to go against the VAR except for Michael Oliver who got praised for that but actually was quite a harsh decision I thought in the first place.

    Albeit it was against Bournemouth..

The Chelsea keeper Mendy did the classic rolling around pretending to be injured thing which the ref on the pitch ignored but for whatever reason the VAR told him to look again and he changed his mind.

And if anything the Newcastle disallowed goal was more of a foul on the Newcastle player!

Villa offside goal was a bit unfortunate as now assistants are told to flag earlier than they used to last season but the ref blew too earlier.

Mind you had it been given Pep would have kicked off - same with Klopp if Van Dijk had been sent off so saved everyone a week of them moaning.

Biggest net spend in our history last summer and it went on complete dross, dross hand picked by Rodgers and his chosen head scout who has since been sacked. Even the unbelievable number of injuries we’ve picked up over the last two years can be traced back to, you guessed it, Brendan replacing the staff that enabled us to win the league with his own people.

This summer has been a shambles though. Wesley Fofana proved himself to be a prize **** of the highest order and the inability to shift squad players makes me wonder what our DoF actually does all day.

He’s still got a fantastic squad, I hate hearing this attitude of ‘well what can I do?’.

Oliver the first ref not to change his mind at the pitch side monitor. I suppose if anyone was going to do it, it would be him. It will be interesting to see if others are now emboldened to do the same.

Depends if he gets credit for it or a ticking off !

I don’t know if the refs in VAR are the older refs maybe putting pressure on young officials to change their minds .

Know Mike Dean /Jon Moss are VAR refs and bet they like to give their “advice “ and not be ignored !

That useless article that had his first game with us last season was VAR man for the Chelsea game.

    Jarrard Gillet?

Clueless to disallow that goal. Mendy can't catch a cold at the moment.

On the plus side it did give us Rat Boy going bananas and his goal being disallowed!

    Does his booking still stand?

Ah yes - the next bright thing apparently?

Mainly because he had a video recorded of him doing VAR in Australia so everyone liked it as you could hear the communication.

Doesn’t mean he is any good .

Fair enough, I didn’t realise he had any input in transfers.

Having Ward as your number 1 seems bonkers.

That was like the Kayembe strike ruled out v QPR.

A cracking strike but disallowed due to an earlier offside.

    Complete lunacy with Ward.

Plenty of time to sort it out but it’s going to get very ugly if the board don’t move soon.

Martin Tyler's increasingly losing the plot. Arsenal score a goal which is (rightly) ruled out by VAR for a foul in the build up. Neville is midway through broadly agreeing with the decision while watching replays and Tyler pipes up to announce had that goal been allowed it would have been the 10th left footed goal scored by Arsenal this season. This about 30 seconds after it had been disallowed.

U wot m8? What meaningless drivel.

Rashford will probably get an England re call- after 2 big goals.

Haha must have been a stat the commentators were desperate to use, because Peter Drury made the same comment after the Arsenal goal on the broadcast over here.

    Why this week ?

Are West Ham and Newcastle special cases that their disallowed goals are more important than anyone else ?

Back in his rightful position in my view. Mourinho did his best to ruin him by sticking him out on the wing to accommodate Lukaku.

Well they got 2 decisions going their way v Man C and Wolves .

TBH they should have scored a few goals anyway .

Seems Jonathan Pearce is looking to join the washed up commentators brigade. Just caught up on MOTD and there he is, wittering on about Cornet nearly winning the match for West Ham in the 87th minute when he hit the post. Then Havertz has won the game for Chelsea when he scored in the 88th minute. But what's this sorcery? A possible West Ham goal a minute later? But I thought Havertz had won it for Chelsea? No team has ever come back from a goal down with 5 minutes to play. Phew, ruled out and Pearce prevails.

Weird commentary line though. You'd have thought it was the 94th minute or something. Can only assume he said it with the highlights package in mind, because surely live no commentator is calling an 88th minute goal in an end to end game like that the winner?

I get the impression that several at the club do not have their hearts in being at Leicester any more - starting with the manager.

Well bet they liked it when Trippear’s red card was over turned v Man City and Wolves had a goal disallowed v them too..

It is a mess yes and needs sorting but teams typically only moan about it when decisions go against them .

I mean both Vieira and Tuchel tried to claim the “fouls”’ decision were the right decisions!

He’d started to make noises about wanting to expand his horizons, experience another club before retirement and play in the CL again at some point.

All fair enough and he left with love and best wishes from all Leicester fans.

I’m starting to wonder if he just couldn’t work under Rodgers anymore and didn’t want to add to the reputation he got when Ranieri was sacked for being a difficult character. He got to 149 consecutive Premier League appearances and Rodgers dropped him out of the blue for Ward instead of letting Kasper get the milestone of 150. It was at Watford last season come to think of it. I think this was a power play by the narcissistic little ****, he even had the gall to claim that he had two number 1s despite the fact that Ward has made it to nearly 30 without ever having been a first choice keeper bar one loan spell about 10 years ago.

Truth is, Kasper is a great bloke. Intelligent, driven, successful… he stepped out of his father’s shadow and became a legend at a club he helped to build. He put in an absolutely unbelievable performance in a cup final and then lifted the trophy. How about that? I hope he did move on for the right reasons but I’m starting to doubt it. He’s the last person you’d expect to put up with Rodgers and his ********.
