Fairplay, got some flack but seem to be right. The club were never going to disclose details of any wrongdoings, but his release seems too coincidental to be anything else so soon after your post.
Saw this on Twitter, big talk for someone so unprofessional that he wouldn't stop embarrassing himself and the club even when asked, and who STILL hasn't found himself a club with 4 days to go until the deadline Ben Foster on bids for Watford players: “It will ruin Watford, because it would have turned their heads. It would have turned Joao Pedro’s head, Sarr’s head for Aston Villa. It’s a genuine problem for the smaller teams” [@BenFoster on @talkSPORT]
Obviously didn’t turn Sarr’s head that much as he rejected them . And Pedro hasn’t kicked up a fuss - in public anyway Maybe talking from personal experience as he demanded to leave WBA before joining us I believe?
Don't think Sarr personally rejected them, I think it was Gerrard? Haven't heard from JP himself, perhaps his representatives were desperate for the move but he's happy enough here for now? Certainly didn't play like someone who had his head turned like the Cycling GK is suggesting!
Sarr didn’t want the move. Agents are the ones who will sound a player out behind the scenes - and then a buying club will make an offer based upon a players desire for the move. Villa didn’t have that knowledge as Sarr doesn’t have an agent, made the bid and subsequently found out Sarr wasn’t too keen during negotiations - add to that the desire for us to get Archer too, and it got complicated. Sarr didn’t really want to go there and Gerrard/Villa sensed that, and along with our demands, it fell through on both sides.
He was awful all of last season. Up to that point, I genuinely didn’t mind him. Good GK and his YouTube thing served a purpose during lockdown. But last season, he lost all of that - YouTube/podcast was an obvious distraction and his form was abysmal. He was the worst GK in the division and by some distance - the metrics and eye-test back that up.
He was an excellent keeper up until the end of the relegation season, mistakes started to creep in, and then when we went down he was generally a good Championship keeper but got sloppier before he got injured. Then by the time we got promoted he was finished, perhaps lucky even to be ahead of Bachmann in the pecking order
The signs were there even in the Championship, he took the mickey out of us after the Swansea game with his YouTube stuff
A certain favoured agent 'sold' him to us apparently. https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.c...nelson-mandela-in-surreal-radio-intervention/
Maybe not that bothered ? Seems to just basically be another pundit on YouTube now vblogging his views on football generally .
The fact other clubs saw how he played and behaved last season may be something to do with it. You are probably the only person “amazed” at this turn of events!
The Cycling C*nt has released the previously *UNSEEN* 5-1 defeat to Man City. Presumably this was when the club finally put their foot down and told him to pack it in. So he's waited a couple of months and now released it. Disrespectful t0sser.
