Thank god we're not playing city this season. Haaland against Cathcart, WTE, Kabasele etc would be just too horrible to watch

Does this qualify as a football match? West Ham supposedly the 7th best team in the country.

Probably get 35-40 goals if he stays fit and plays most games .

I think City will score less goals with Haaland. They are always looking for him rather than play their usual game.

Haha - so true and great to see the brighton win!

Rodgers out. I honestly believe that he deliberately chucked the game in today to prove a point about new signings.

You could handcuff both of our CBs to him, and they’d still not get anywhere near stopping this guy. He’d get at least 5 goals, and spend the final 20 minutes dragging their lifeless bodies into the box before converting yet one more chance.

Are Leicester fans completely done with him at this point?

  9. All the pundits who predicted Fulham and Bournemouth to go straight back down seem to be suggesting they got it wrong.

    It's one game ffs.

We beat villa on day one last year and went down with a record points total. We smashed Liverpool a few years ago and went down. Norwich beat man city 3 years ago early doors and went down.

Not sure why they're all speedily backtracking on their predictions all of a sudden. Let's review after 10 games maybe!

Agreed, the first game of the season is always a crap shoot for any team, random results are pretty much guaranteed.

I don’t think many are still fully Rodgers in. If you’re a Leicester fan and you’re prepared to overlook some of the stuff he does and says then I think you’re kidding yourself. The club rightly isn’t prepared to back him with money anymore and I expect he’ll be sacked at some point this season.

It’s a long story but basically he’s lost interest in the job and is waiting to be paid off.

    Modern football for you.

Instant reaction and it's often fickle.

Still think Muff and Florist will go down, along with Leicester. Not Fulham.

Done a decent job on the whole but those seasons missing out on europe must really hurt him. I wonder if thats affected the general motivation around the club. Anyway, all managers have a time limit to their usefulness unless you're Pep or Fergie.

Would imagine he’s getting a bored and stagnant and that is infecting the squad.

  16. Filbert

    Filbert Leicester supporting bloke

Seems to be the issue. He’s bored and wants to rebuild the squad, possibly because he’s losing the ear of the players. The club has backed him handsomely in the past and he’s spunked a lot of money on dross. We’ve also built a massive new training complex so the money isn’t there anyway.

Looks like Muff are doing an adequate job replacing us as a dead duck for Citeh to play with.

I bet United wish they paid the £4m for Bachmann now. De Gea is utterly hopeless. Another terrible mistake gifting Brentford the lead.

Man United are utter droppings. 2-0 down. Haha. That was a hilarious attempt to play out from the back.

Dean Henderson is probably having a giggle somewhere in Nottingham.

It was seen as a great result winning 4-1 against them last season.

Now I am not so sure!

    Maybe just a good one...

So today I placed a £1 accumulator on every Prem game, a 7 fold. The six early games came in. All I needed was a United win tonight for £250.

    ****s.

Literally 1 minute before Brentford scored their first I layed off £60 of it so I'm not too unhappy for a £1 bet, but they have been utterly shocking.

Club is rotten to the core now.

Shows what an amazing job Fergie did there!

They need to start again (again). Sell half of their squad/deadwood and blood through their youth! They must still have a decent youth set-up surely?!

I'm calling it. We are better than Man Utd. Brentford have been fantastic, no second season syndrome so far. Oh I love watching Mark Goldbridge squirm.

I find it quite sad how Man Utd have fallen off a cliff ( excuse the pun).

They look clueless and I was cooking our supper for most of the first half. As indeed it seems were the team!

Man Utd was by far the easiest game for us last season so it doesn't surprise me at all. Ten Hag won't last another month.

  32. AndrewH63

Looks like Ten Hag has lost the dressing room. Brentford will probably struggle to match last seasons finish, but it would not be a surprise if United fail to make the top ten this year.

  33. I listen to talksport most Sundays from 8-9 for reasons I won't go in to.

    The spot regularly changes.

On the couch with Gary Bloom was on a year or 2 ago and was an utterly outstanding dive into some really psychological moments for a lot of top stars. I absolutely recommend this if there's a pod cast as it was enthralling and a lot hit me quite deeply to my own life.

The boot room with Darren Bent, Darren Ambrose and Alex Crook is always a decent relaxed laugh and the guys are really listenable.

Transworld sport I think was there for a while with Danny Kelly and co and that was also really easy listening. I think that's back on at 8pm.

So... mark Goldbridge's transfer hub has suddenly been moved to this spot in the last few weeks. It's awful. Utterly horrendous.

    The guy is actually rubbish.

    1. Constantly talks over phone in guests.

    2. 90% of the show is Manchester United based.

    3. He doesn't even watch most games on a weekend. A couple of times a caller has called in and talked about a game and he's replied with "I didn't watch it so I can't comment". That's you're job. To watch games and comment?

    4. His "top 5 transfers of the week section" are always transfers by the top 6 clubs which 90% of the time he calls a "hit". Well when you're spending £50m on a defender then of course it's probably going to be a hit. Be a bit more interesting and adventurous and review a punt transfer by Nottingham Forest FFS.

The show is awful. I can only imagine he has friends in places that get him this work.

I recently saw he reviews Man utd games on tiktok. That is probably more his level.

Such a shame. I've switched to talksport 2 for my 8-9pm listen. Tonight it was the US PGA.
