I saw your post but haven't read it yet as was waiting to watch it with my wife. It's good so far, very intrigued.

The wonderful 'Primal' is back next week:

Just seen that Tartakovsky's masterpiece "Clone Wars Pt1" is up on YouTube:

I agree largely with this assessment, it missed a lot of terror out and was rather boring. It felt like a missed opportunity.

Currently watching Trailer Park Boys, a very easy watch and incredibly funny with the right amount of heart behind it.

Just finished Obi Wan Kenobi, was surprisingly good given how poor the Star Wars prequels were. Recommend.

Watching Better Call Saul, a masterpiece. Probably has surpassed Breaking Bad now.

The last episode of BCS, whilst without the action of the previous two, was just incredible.

This season of BCS has been very good, obviously there were gaps to fill, such as what happens to Kim, Lalo and Nacho.

The latter two were obviously going to die, the surprise was the demise of Howard, I don't think anyone will be able to watch BB again knowing that Lalo & Howard are under the lab.

How Kim would leave was the great unknown, but it opens doors for her to show her face again in the fast forward scenes with Gene. The 9th episode from last week looked and felt like a series ending but with 4 more episodes to go it was difficult to see what direction they would take. I always thought the series would end on Badger's arrest in the same scene Saul was first introduced to us many years ago.

    Episode 10 this week...
an interesting and long awaited episode solely on the future, you could see how a depressed person he was in the earlier series starts, being found out gave him the chance to be "slippin' Jimmy" again for a while as well as resolving the recognition problem. It was also a lot slower episode compared to the few that went before. However I think this episode could have been inserted at the beginning of the series rather than now.

With 3 to go, it's an open secret Walter and Jesse appear at some point, and as I said above it's possible Kim may make a Gene timeline appearance. I can't help thinking there isn't much more story to tell that can be stretched to 3 more shows but as the writers have shown many times they will do it well.

Near the end of S3 Stranger Things, really don't get the hype, it's alright but nothing special.

First two were engaging, very enjoyable, nostalgic daftness albeit with very crap monsters. Series 3 is one of the worst things ever committed to screen. People seem to have loved Series 4, but I’m done and would only return if there was a chance the whole cast would be massacred.

I only recently got around to watching S4, the third series was awful compared to the first two, the fourth series was better than the third but still not a patch on those first two.

Shows that you really need to keep every little prop just in case you make a prequel.

I didn't enjoy this week's BCS, I feel that some of the story was a bit contrived to get Walter and Jesse in. Obviously it was done in a way to demonstrate how similar Gene is to Saul and how he got deeper despite advice from another person to keep away.

The best bit of the episode was the prologue.

I quite liked it but I agree Jesse and Walt seemed somewhat shoehorned in, it tied a few lose ends up

My memory is terrible, I’d forgotten he told his receptionist a few seasons back to be at a pay phone at x time, I thought that bit was good

I agree. I don’t feel the timelines have been well matched, for example I have no clue on the passage of time between the events at the start of this half of the season and his entry into BB. Equally, I don’t understand why it’s taken a considerable
thinning of hair and passing of time before he wonders about Kim

Still enjoying it, though I feel it’s a harder watch because
it’s increasingly impossible to have any sympathy with him

I know it’s not exactly what you’re saying but I read this yesterday, it explains how far along in the timeline Gene is from the end of BB.

I do sometimes struggle to keep up with the fact we’re watching a prequel, that is regularly also jumping ahead of the show it’s a prequel to.

Not really, for the first 5 seasons the only post BB with "Gene" was the prologue to each season's episode 1. So up until the 9th part of series 6 we'd only seen 5 future snippets. S6E10 was wholly in the future it was only this week it bounced about a bit.

@Moose the timeline of BCS up until Kim left was from 2002-2004, the end of S6E9 after she left was a jump to the end of 2005 where he'd gone full Saul. I think BB is supposed to be 2007 to 2010 with Walt dying in Sept 2010. The episode with the security guard implies late 2010 due to the American football content, so only a few months after fleeing and changing identity.

Didn’t read this at the time as I fancied watching the series with no spoilers or preconceptions. I quite enjoyed it - helped, I think, by the fact that I hadn’t seen the previous film or read the book - but I agree with everything in your review.

Just watching the Woodstock 99 documentary on Netflix, Christ that was some mental ****!

The bit during Fatboy Slims set was truly shocking.

Halfway through the first episode and it’s feeling a bit “daytime movie” so far. Hoping it gets better.

I watched a history of metal 'thing' (an episode on "Nu Metal"?) with a large interview with Fred Durst. He was *very candid* when he was blamed (by other musicians) or everything that went on at Woodstock '99. I quite liked Fred & Limp Bizkit before watching that interview - I *really* liked him & them after watching that interview.

  34. I'm 5 episodes into ST Strange New Worlds... and it is gloriously beautiful so far.

So so so so so so good. This and lower decks are so ultimately my favourite new trek.

The characters are so good, so believable and so lovable, the character development is on point, the storylines are so wonderfully done, the backdrops are beautiful. I can't recommend bit enough as a classic Trek nerd.

Has anyone seen From? I've just finished season one. I was hooked. It's a must for Lost fans. Same sort of vibe. More questions than answers, but it is really gripping throughout. I loved it. There HAS TO be a season two.
