If he is good enough for Huddersfield then surely he is good enough to have a role with us this season. If he isnt good enough then this is a genius move by the club weakening one of our rivals.

Kind of get it when Fab does it for a confirmed big money deal but kind of funny to see it wheeled out for a rumoured transfer of a fringe player from Watford to Huddersfield.
There were young players on the bench too. Unless you think Edwards can’t assess a player, you can’t possibly want us to play someone potentially worse than Cleverly is now. That must be the inference if Edwards is happy to see him go to a potential rival. The ‘play young players’ demand usually ignores those young players, like Ngakia or Quina, who we’ve played and now want to bin off. A more reasonable demand is ‘buy better players’ or ‘develop better players’, but it’s hard to identify many youngsters we assessed incorrectly.
You've taken a tongue in cheek comment far too seriously. Congrats. Also there is not a chance that TDB is worse than Cleverley based on last night, it was one of the worst performances I've seen and I doubt Edwards will want a repeat of it.
I got the impression pre-season from the club media/WO etc that TDB was seen as being an active part of the squad this season and that Edward's rated him highly. so I would be surprised if we did suddenly sell him. Having said that it seems odd he didnt make the match day squad against United and he was shown warming up with the other players pre-game in a video on the clubs twitter feed today. Did he get a knock?

Well he was warming up before the Sheff Utd game I think so unless it's a new injury it must be off the field related. Of course it could all be bull as well.
Unless it's an injury or an off field issue, it's scandalous he wasn't at least given a chance. Home grown, young and he proved at Reading last season that he is pretty good at this level.

Apparently this has come from a fairly reliable source (not one of mine) so looks likely. Really tough break for the lad (if true) - but you’d imagine it’ll be hard for him to come back to playing at this level again now. Age is on his side but not sure the body withstands that kind of thing a high amount of the time.
