Asking why people who I don't know, and who dont know me, are claiming to either offer me well wishes or feel upset over things nothing to do with them - are valid questions, not "insults". Not sure why you're bringing that up in response to me - I didn't know LeedsOrn was a girl. You've not actually considered my comment have you? Your comment here is again meaningless - this is not an insult, but simply a statement of fact given that you don't know who I am and I don't know who you are. Also, you claim to not wish for there to be "insults" yet feel entitled to tell me I should "be kind" - when quite frankly that's none of your business and therefore ultimately is a rude interjection on your part.

Now you’re showing a callous unpleasantness too. I skim through much of your stuff because it tends to be boring, so I’m not sure if this is a new thing or not. I don’t post much here, and rarely, if ever, get involved in spats. But as someone who, like the girl in row H, would like a forum without vitriol and idiocy, I’m interjecting without invitation. Yes you’re entitled to your diatribes, and it seems that no one can stop you from having tedious running battles. But this is a place where most people come to read about Watford, rather than read your waffle, which mostly descends into supercilious self-justification, peppered with some stats. As you have enjoyed saying things like “I don’t know you” or “who are you?”, please go ahead with that approach with me. But it betrays a lack of humanity, and self awareness. I am guessing that you don’t put much effort into knowing people because you haven’t ever faced yourself.
He posts great background info but doesn’t like to be challenged or accused of being wrong. For the info alone his posts are often worth a read but once he gets into an argument it’s worth skipping a few posts !

That you are falsely assuming I have even attached any kind of emotion to saying such things "betrays a lack of humanity" on your part as you aren't actually talking to me as a human but rather to your imagined perception of me. This also further underlines the point I was makng about the absurdity of LeedsOrn's and thegirl's statements - how can you sincerely deliver well wishes to someone on an internet message board who you clearly don't know and have a mistaken view of? Furthermore, how can you do so when the person has already made it clear that they perceive the declaring of such sentiments in such a manner as to be pointless? Someone still doing so after that has already been declared also "betrays a lack of humanity" by ignoring what the person who they are claiming to wish well has actually said.

Sorry I know we can have opinions on players but there must be more to it that just looking at stats and previous fans comments. After all we've probably signed a few that have looked good on paper but been poor and vice versa. In Laird's case he is a young player and maybe has learnt from whatever failings he was seemed to have at Swansea.

Lower, I feel like someone who has just turned up at a friend’s house and, for some reason I decide to throw a stick for the unhappy dog. It’s not a wise idea, because this dog is infamous. Id like to see some of his stats and comments from fans of clubs he's played for but Im not sure how to access that kind of information so I dont have an opinion on him. In my experience women are better judges of wing backs than men although men do seem to have the upper hand when it comes to assessing conventional full backs. #celebratedifference

You really have a distinct lack of self awareness. That's your problem. And your behaviour to others. I noticed it a fair while ago and it did irk me. Is this a genuine persona ? Is it a schtick ? The more you post one comes to the assumption that you're very self-centred, opinionated and at times arrogant. I don't think it would be nice to meet you in the real world. Calling people freaks and idiots/muppets when they post what is perfectly valid as an opinion with it being a forum and then reacting the way you do when someone challenges or shows up what you've said to be plainly incorrect enforces my opinion of your character. There's a lot more to life than point scoring on a forum and pretending to be the font of all footballing knowledge when all you're doing is looking at a few videos, websites and coming to your opinions. If they were consistently accurate you might like someone else on here actually have a job in football. And that said person is the complete opposite of yourself. Unstinting and unselfish in their sharing of facts, videos and the like coupled with a far more insightful look into targets and potential signings. Yet they don't claim to be some sort of footballing prophet. If you were more reasonable and less high and mighty with others constantly trying to get digs in from little remarks in your posts or dragging up posts from months before you would be more accepted. As it is what you do is incredibly immature and childish.
I'm sorry it has become this way on the forum. Endless spats over trivial things because of some posters girl in row H. But please do stay. Not because of the forum member count or anything like that. It's because you and your opinions are as valid as anyone else's. If you feel as moderators we need to toughen up (more than once I have felt the desire to remove some posts and have once or twice that were deliberately rude) please let us know. You can always report this to us and we'll take a look at it. As you say life is too short and there are so many other things to do than have constant baiting on a forum. Opinions and sensible, polite debate is one thing , sheer overweening arrogance is another.
The armchair psychologists really are out in force this week. How am I meant to supposedly have "a distinct lack of self awareness" while also supposedly being "very self-centered"? That assessment doesn't add up. I share what I can in support of my opinions, considering I don't have access to the likes of WyScout, Statsbomb etc. - and it's still more than 99.9% of this forum share. Believe me, I am very well aware of that.
