Dont disagree with you at all - i am completely underwhelmed by this window and most of the previous ones - but there is a huge kneejerk reaction to any bit of news coming out of any source (club, AL, louorns, Wobby etc)

If you detest almost half of our fans, it seems like very odd behaviour to spend so much time on a forum for Watford fans. I have no problem with you btw jumbo, of all the negative nancy's I always feel you're the most reasoned.

I personally don't think our squad is as bad as people on here are making out for a championship season, personally think our defence and GK is better than it was last time we were in the champ and they were solid. One area that is bad though is the midfield and we don't seem to be linked with any midfielders... Louza should be one of the best in the league by a country mile but we need 2 more CM's IMO.

I quite enjoy being angry (read the Guardian comments section purely for the feeling of being antagonised). That said I am starting to think this forum is bad for my mental health as I’m getting so wound up by Pozzo recently. Might take a break!

One more certainly. I think for the second they’ll roll the dice with Quina/TDB/Asprilla or even Pedro as a 10 and provided the incoming CM is an upgrade I think that’d be totally fair enough.

Would recommend. I spend far less time on here than I did at one point and I don’t miss it!

It's not bad, but it's unbalanced, and badly needs fresh faces as first team choices. Cathcart, Kabasele and the rest of the 'golden' oldies are fine if they are relied upon occasionally, but right now it looks like they'll be regulars...

Less of an issue with those two than our midfield.

Louza has shown something about him, but Kayembe, Cleverley, Gosling, TDB, Quina are all pretty vile.

I am genuinely utterly fascinated by the question of whether you behave towards/engage with people in real life the way that you do on here.

I don't imagine Quina and TDB will be anything more than backup, I fear Clev might be a regular (same with Gosling, who I don't think is quite as washed, but still ideally shouldn't be a starter in a promotion chasing side). I imagine we'll look to sign players for the midfield, but only after Sarr and Dennis have gone, and only after we've finished signing players for the forward positions, as well as on the flanks

I think it's entirely valid for people to be underwhelmed when we are linked with players we have seen play, either against us or on TV, e.g. Afobe, if they haven't been impressed by them. But I find it strange when they rail against the possible signing of players from overseas or lower divisions who they almost certainly have never seen.

Vydra could be available. Yes he's had surgery and will be out for a while but a signing like this would keep some of the fans happy. More than capable in this league if they can get him fit and perfect for two upfront.

Always thought Gosling was a free. Had 6 months left at Muff and we offered 30 months so they allowed him to leave for a nominal fee?

Didn't he injure his ACL? If so he could be out for a long time. I can't imagine Burnley letting him go to us either

The injury is a real issue though. And of course if/when he is fit, he might just fire Burnley to promotion.

Jean-Michael Seri has joined Hull on a free transfer.

    Would’ve liked him here.

Me too. I was surprised that Fulham released him as he was one of their better players (especially in the first half of the season, I've mentioned I'd love him here soon after he was released.)
He outhshone Kessie and Sangare in most games at AFCON for Ivory Coast (imo at least).

Considering how poor Hull were last season, I'm sure he would have chosen us ahead of them.

Haven't Hull made a few geeod signings this summer inc our own Fatboy slim (no pun intended given the real FBS's roots) ? Funding a promotion push ?

Given Dull have brought Tufan. I would accept a 4-0 defeat for home and away games if offered

    Roma being linked with Zaha.

An opportunity to bin Sarr off to Palarse!?

No secret of their interest when we got relegated and also when we initially signed him.

Would be surprised if they spent every penny they get for Zaha (and probably more) on Sarr. As that’s what it would take given Zaha’s age and contract status. Every chance they’d try and low ball us but I doubt we would accept. They can do that with a year left but 2 years is still a decent position to be in.

Plus they have good wide players. I suspect if Zaha went, the money would go towards a better centre forward. Dennis would make more sense.

Seems to be one of those players who's really suited to being a big fish in a Championship pond rather than being a small fish in a Premier League pond, a tidy footballer, but lacks physicality
