He seemed to miss the point Rio was making, that Konate deliberately played the ball. Oh well. As Gerrard said at least Peter's cleared it up.

They’ve had a crazy fixture fun and they’re still here. They’ve been gritty, but deserve it.

So Liverpool have failed to score in five and a half hours of three finals this season.

I don’t think they won any PL matches against the top 4 either…

Second best English squad this century apparently…

I think my biggest highlight was that absolute blooter of a shot from Keita when he was unmarked on the edge of the box. It got better with every replay.

That was spectacular. It’s hard to empathise just how much time and space he had.

  16. I think the biggest highlight for me was the ever evaporating hope of every Liverpool "fan" watching the game.

In most circumstances I would not want Liverpool to win as they appear to think they are superior and are entitled to do so, but tonight I wanted them to win as they were representing Britain, however they have let our nation down :(

Liverpool, as with all the big clubs, are a large international corporation. Apart from the location of their stadium, very little about them is British, so they were not representing me. You could argue they were representing the English Premier League, but I doubt many of us feel patriotic about that.

Klopp “The 2 we didn’t win, we missed out by the smallest possible margin, one point and one goal”.
No. The smallest possible margin would have been goal difference …..and of course penalties….penalties being how you DID win the only 2 competitions you DID win.

Watched it in a pub near Watford with plenty of shirt wearing Liverpool fans in there. Every single one of them literally ran out of the door when they lost.

Absolute plastics the lot of them and an embarrassment to real fans.
When Real scored the rest of us made a lot of noise. A good evening.

I agree that Liverpool, like lots of the so-called “big” clubs, have a significant number of “plastic” fans. Not sure how leaving a pub after their team had lost leads you to the conclusion that those particular fans were “an embarrassment to real fans” though. I’d probably want to do the same if I was disappointed. Especially since you indicate that a lot of the pub was anti Liverpool.

They don't represent us. They represent FSI. And it's rich owners. And they stand for all that is awful in football including putting their hands up to the ESL. Real Madrid are equally detestable. These clubs just want to accumulate more power, wealth and control over the game. I did not bother watching the drivel or listening to it. But I'm glad they lost as all the plastics will be upset. Not one being Scouse or even having been to Anfield or knowing diddly squat about the history of the club.

Take that Spittle Carragher and McManaman. Wonder who the curly haired twit was rooting for having played for both evil empires.

It was a bit anti Liverpool I agree but certainly not anti Liverpool fans, we've sat in there many times with the plastic scouse fans having a bit of fun and didn't go running home when they smashed us 6-1 on sky as they were mercilessly taking the p*ss. In fact we stayed for a few more beers and took it like grown ups and with good humour. And that's the difference and why they run off as soon as they lose, because they choose teams like Liverpool because they can't handle defeat in their sad little lives, and that's why it's s funny to see them acting like spoiled children when they do lose and literally can't handle it.

So yes, to me they are an absolute embarrassment because they're essentially big adult babies.
