It’s funny that you started this as a joke thread, but already after seven games he was looking a bad appointment! (Some might say after just three, after a performance against Brighton that was arguably even worse than in the reverse fixture under the naive and infinitely less experienced Xisco.)

Woke up this morning, big grin on my face because today that rancid wet fart leaves our club. Don't care about the result (spoiler alert we will lose) but in 14 hours he will be toast.

I read this yesterday and it’s spot on as far as I’m concerned.

 

I don’t think it will be a new thing for Watford to be paying two (or more) managers (or players) at once.

 

The club said Edwards takes charge following the conclusion of the season so as far as I'm concerned Hodgson is gone after today.

 

Correct. The July 1st thing was just bitterness from Vince Dale, calling us cheap! The Club refuted the July 1st date and said that he will take over as soon as the season is done.

You probably won't hear anything official from him, i.e. an interview with the club until start of pre-season, but he will certainly be working.

 

What a glorious day.

 

I hope Edwards makes the players report for training at 7.00am tomorrow and has a 2 hour meeting where he tells them how sh!t they've all been.

 

Roy has definitely damaged his reputation.
Not just on the grounds of football , but with his utter ignorance of things around him.
Just turns up for the money and letting everyone else know it.

I’m not sure damage to his reputation matters now that he’s definitely retiring. As for his legacy, I don’t actually think his short spell at Watford will have damaged that in the long term.

 

That picture of him and Kiko would be a good choice for a caption competition.
