I've tried my best to ignore all the rubbish, but had a quick gen up and I have a question. To summarise. - I'm assuming this is right. Rooney thought someone was leaking stuff to the press. Rooney made up a story that was private and only viewed by Vardy's account. This story ended up in the press. Rooney therefore assumed Vardy leaked it. Vardy says she didn't. One thing that has sprung to mind. Could Vardy or Rooney's social media account/s have been accessed or hacked by a 3rd party, that then leaked the story? They've been quick to accuse each other and the press are probably not revealing their source as it;s not in their interest. I trust both sides have inspected the security logs for the social media accounts in question. If not then there's been a lot of unnecessary money spent on lawyers.
I have been gripped by it. Vardy is blaming her agent for doing the leaks (she shared her account details with her some years ago) Despite being the worst human being on the planet, there's a good chance she'll win the case it seems.
The evidence today suggests only one device logged in on the day in question. It also seems that a lot of files are missing from Vardys team. What a ridiculous way to p*ss your money up the wall.
The accused agent accidentally dropped her phone in the North Sea. Have some compassion you heartless bstard, they cost a fortune.
Mrs TuT keeps trying to tell me what is going on in this case. I keep stopping her dead. Now it's on here. There's really no escape.
Roy has got involved it seems . https://news.sky.com/story/wagatha-...eens-libel-battle-with-rebekah-vardy-12609163
Exactly my thoughts, imagine the size of your ego that you have to wazz hundreds of thousands of pounds up wall just because someone either leaked a pathetically dull story about you, or someone accused you of doing so. Nobody gives a ****, how about giving the money to charity and just forgetting about it.
Solely as a Leicester player, Vardy every day of the week. I say that with the confidence and conviction of a man who never saw Lineker play.
If this is the case, 1) the agent was effectively employed by Vardy, meaning Vardy is on the hook for what the agent does with resources Vardy granted her and 2) Rooney's conclusion that Vardy was the leaker would have been reasonable since she couldn't have possibly known there was account sharing going on. Not exactly a particularly good defense when it comes down to it.

I believe each party have to pay their own costs, however the losers have to give the other party £40,000 towards their costs!
Why only £40k? I think you’re possibly thinking of damages. The costs for this will be the best part of half a million per side. Johnny Depp’s failed libel action against the Sun meant he had to pay their fees… £628k!
Jack Monroe 'won' over £24k in her libel action against Katie Hopkins - but what left Hopkins of the verge of bankruptcy was the costs awarded against her. Monroe's case was done on the cheap (it only cost £300k) but her own defence was estimated to be the other side of £500k. POPBITCH did a very excellent guide to how these eye-watering costs quickly rack up in libel cases. It's probably paywalled (or removed during the on-going court case) but I'm sure they'll republish it when the trial is over.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...-vardy-loses-libel-case-against-coleen-rooney We have a conclusion!
Its strange when all the evidence was coming out and Vardy's reputation was being thrown into the gutter, I thought she must be sure that it will be all be worth it, and there will be a technical legal reason why she will win the case and be vindicated Apparently not
Women up and down the country will be cringing with embarrassment. What a car crash of a story that shows these two in such a terrible light...the life of a WAG, blimey.
I haven't searched that hard - but have costs been mentioned? I'm assuming they're going to be eye-watering...
Does it show Colleen in a bad light? She called out the poisonous Vardy for breaching her privacy, and offered to settle several times out of court. Vardy on the other hand has been brutally exposed for what she is…
That’ll make an interesting companion piece to a documentary about how through immeasurable hard work and skill her husband overcame the odds to become one of the top sportsmen in the country.
Vardy could not possibly have come out of the whole saga looking worse. However it exposed the whole WAG lifestyle and culture and how “leech-like” the existence is. Tactically Colleen played a blinder.
£3m owed to m’learned friends is the speculation. At pre-trial last August the estimate which was put on the record was already up to £1.5m - £2m…
