Are you kidding me? Ugh. Well Reading deserve everything they get, which sadly plonks the scum in the Playoffs.
Useless Middlesbrough and Reading, but Luton will be out of the play offs swiftly. I'm shocked they are in the play off zone to begin with, they were extremely poor everytime I've seen them play this season. Fulham waking up a bit, but Hector and Ream are worse than our centre backs, they'll struggle in the Premier League unless they get at least 2 new centre backs.
He's the same clown who played for Villa a couple of years ago when they were down there with us. Pretty sure he was involved in the goal that wasn't awarded to Sheff Utd by VAR after the goalline tech failed.
So it’s looking likely that Luton will get into the play offs on the same day as we’re relegated. Yup, that pretty much sums up this season as a Watford fan.
Clearly I massively overrated Boro, I thought it was a given they’d win at Preston and it was just a question of how much (if at all) the 7-0 defeat affected the Scummers’ confidence. Also Brum should consider themselves lucky that Barnsley and to a lesser extent Reading have had such collapses, Derby have had that massive points deduction and Peterborough (who are usually out of their depth in this division) were promoted last season. When was the last time Troy played, I can’t recall him even being on the bench recently?
Andre' Gray scores again. Cannot wait for him to score a hat trick at the Vic against us next season...
Wonder if they will sign him with a new manager coming in. Yes Birmingham would be down I think but for the points deduction of others . Thought Luton would make it tbh - surprised Boro lost at PNE though . Luton play Huddersfield rather than Forest - they’ll probably take that too .
Ffs extend Zinckernagles loan to Forest for the playoffs. It's his chance to become a cult hero at the Vic.
Not quite, Reading had six points deducted and would’ve gone down on GD all things being equal. Still Brum should count themselves lucky that two of their fellow strugglers performed far worse than anyone expected.
Not Championship but not worth starting a thread for this - remarkable end to the League 2 season where Bristol Rovers, after being 4th going into the final game have managed to squeak through past Northampton on goals scored despite them winning 3-1 by absolutely battering the bottom club Scunthorpe 7-0. Rovers have been on an amazing run to clinch automatic promotion after not looking like promotion contenders at all for much of the season, I'd be more pleased for them though if they didn't have a thug and wife-beater as manager.
I imagine it's due to a pitch invasion by protesting Scunny fans - like what happened at the Oldham-Salford game although it looks like this game will finish in front of spectators?
Huge game tonight as our brothers up the road take their first step to Play-off glory. Absolutely convinced they will get past Udders.
Disgraceful that they played their youth team in such a key game. It basically determined which team got promoted after 46 matches over 9 months.
Others have questioned whether playing the second leg at home is really an advantage for the higher placed teams, and I'm inclined to agree. On the one hand it's fantastic if you win the tie in front of a big home crowd (especially after going behind, like needless to say our Leicester tie, but even there we nearly threw it away) but if you're the slightest off the pace in the first leg, you could end up going into the second with the opposition with a virtually unassailable lead who will end up playing defensive and hard to break down.
I'd like Luton to go up. They woukd be embarrassed week in week out. Imagine Man City with Haaland sticking double figures past them at the Kenilworth tip. They would set a new lowest points record. We wont have to play the ****s next year. We hopefully will switch places again next year. Come on you hatter ****s.
At least we’ll never know what it’s like to be embarrassed every week in the PL and get humped at the Etihad, eh?
Yes plus the 3rd placed team start the POs in a state of disappointment with everything to lose having just missed the auto places, whilst the 6th placed side is bouyant and up for it, having just scraped into the knock outs. My guess 2-0 to our friends tonight then a 1-1 draw at HTFC.
Great goal. Would be pretty funny if Lootwon did the same thing we did against Hull. (smashed home and way and lose 7-1 on aggregate
