Definitely sounds like their right wing back is worth grabbing on a free, especially at the age he's at and the potential for him to improve. Would be a smart signing, on paper.
I'm on the ball as always, Adam's has signed for Cardiff apparently. Edward's was probably gushing over Goslings performance against Everton and decided no.
It's probably because he's a complete shirker, who asks to be subbed whenever he's having a poor game?
Looking at players RE worked with at Wolves as well, I reckon there could be a couple that the club take a serious look at. Jed Wallace and Elliot Watt would be nice and are both available on a free. Chem Campbell, Dion Sanderson and Ryan Giles will probably be available either for a loan or permanently whilst Owen Otasowie wants out at Club Brugge.
Ryan Giles seems like the kind of player Edwards would like at LWB if he can rediscover his Cardiff form. He might not be needed though depending on who we keep in that role. I've also seen speculation that Wolves might keep him in their squad next season but it could be groundless. I'm not sure Sanderson really pulled up any trees on loan this season. Don't know enough about Campbell. Seems unlikely Watt is of the required standard either. Otasowie is a strange case - very highly rated, but then one has to wonder how come he's not had a single minute at Bruges this season. He was linked with Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday in Jan. We've been pretty successful with a Bruges reject lately though, so a punt on him on loan with an option to buy could be worthwhile. He seems adept at both ball-playing CB and defensive midfield, and we def have opportunities in those roles.
He’s playing the long game this summer. We should be keeping an eye on whoever Mogi moves around in Belgium and France during the next window. You can be certain that should we gain promotion, we’ll find ourselves paying double for them, despite them having delivered modest/mediocre stats in a below-par league.
Maybe he’ll introduce a special “15% champo discount” or BOGOF this time to avoid all this lost business ?
Guess we aren’t in for Wilson then ? https://the72.co.uk/273122/bristol-city-open-talks-to-sign-forest-green-rovers-star-wilson/amp/
I think that - given Wilson’s contract status and his age/profile - at least five championship clubs will make an offer. Bristol City represent the local option but we’d be more of a step up and probably be able to offer more money.
Suspect we're going to try and get one more year out of Kiko, which might yet work, but still, Kane Wilson has been earning rave reviews, has about a decade on him and is free, what are we waiting for?
