Not a chance in hell. The man loves himself and more concerningly genuinely believes the shyte that comes out of his mouth. It's one thing trying to hoodwink and deceive us fans with his politician answers but I genuinely think he believes what he spouts. In no other line of work could you fail this miserably ALONG with being so negligent and keep your job. Crazy stuff.

Allegedly a ‘Duxbury out’ banner at the game today - good stuff.

Leventhal's Athletic article this evening basically lays all the blame at Gino's feet. I have no doubt that Gino is the biggest problem and the majority of the claims are true but it looks like a last ditch attempt from Duxbury to salvage his reputation and apportion blame.

Is Everton the next game then ? The supporters need to get the message across by chanting for the removal of Duxbury and demanding change. Banners, placards whatever it takes.

It's clear the club is very sick and it stems from the charlatans running it. They do not have a clue.

Did not bother watching as the result was to be expected and performance too. Better things to do. By all accounts several of the players should never play for the team again. Hodgson is a disgrace. With his post match comments and fraternizing with the Nigels and their players. It's turned out to be another idiotic decision in a long line of idiotic decisions by the hierarchy.

It seems only directors, chairmen and other higher ups like politicians can escape the consequences of being calamities. In any other walk of life they would be out on their ear. Not only has Watford been relegated, so have the Ladies. Everything is a shambles. There's no plan at all apart from the desperate hope of the parachute money and jumping back at the first attempt.

But without a plan the monies are going to be squandered. A fool and his money are soon parted. Trouble is we have two of them at the club and Uncle Mogi is more than willing to take the money. It's a nadir for the club. We've had them before but boy this is a really big hole and can you trust these pillocks to get us out of it ? There you have your answer. Depressing times. They blame everyone else but themselves for the failures when they are the root causes of the lack of identity and a plan going forward. By plan something with a coherent strategy for all areas of the club, community, supporters, stadium, academy and so on.

Maybe someone can bring that up at the next meeting with Duxbury? If he ever does another one.

WFC is unsellable unless it goes into administration. Even then a sale would be unlikely as we would have lost the stadium. No one would be stupid enough to take on £100m+ debt to own a small town football team and no one would be stupid enough to buy a small town club with no stadium. Make no mistake we are now in an incomparably worse situation than when the Pozzos bought the club. I hope u enjoyed the last 10 years because they cost the club £150m in debt that we will never be able to pay off without going into administration. I hope u r enjoying the upgraded vic cos if we go into administration u might never get to go there again. Thank u Scott and Gino for everything u have taken from us.

If Gino wants out his only option will be to call in his debts, put the club into administration and give up the stadium. WFC is both unsellable and unbuyable.

How many players are still here from the FA Cup run and how much do they expect to get?

I mean we didn't exactly beat top teams and almost lost in the semi but for a wonder goal and penalty.

Then you could say they could have been deducted bonuses for the final!

This current lot would have got a lot more for staying up.

Only banner I ever took to a game was also a bedsheet. Took it to the Kaiserslautern game. 3-1 down from the 1st leg and my banner said 'Kaiser will be slaughtered'. Nowadays its Watford who are getting slaughtered every week.

The next few lines/paras go into further detail about how that pattern of ******* off players has continued up to this season - makes the quote seem both more immediate and more concerning, still.

Well don't know what bonuses some are expecting now.

    Ones for promotion?

Probably getting managers even less out of touch with the modern game hasn't helped their mood.

Maybe the strategy is to run up massive debts and use some of the money to pay sky high agents fees so a % of those fees can be transfered into overseas bank accounts.

£900k/year is his salary from WFC. It doesn't mean he doesn't have other revenue streams.

It's just common sense isn't it? Who wants to be somewhere with 3 different head coaches a year, DOF and directors around the training ground, players coming and going. Translate that to any other working environment and it doesn't work. Football is unique but footballers are humans too and we struggle with the very basic human psychology.

Exactly that. 3 bosses in a year, senior management who might sack you at any time and ask you to work a different shift at almost no notice are going to piss you off.

Let alone if you're in a team full of quiet people who can't make a decision.

Spot on. DNSYE did a really good pod the other week where they looked at the finances (worth a listen) from a layman's perspective and its truly staggering that more fans haven't switched on to what risk we now have. Yes, lots of the money is owed to Gino from loans and he's unlikely to call them in (particularly whilst he's cleaning up from the interest on these loans) but if the worst happened then we'd be in a mess and quickly.
The stadium one is just mind boggling, arguably our single biggest asset (that I believe we owned outright?!) we no longer own in full, making us (as the OP suggests) not attractive from an investment perspective. The next round of finances will be very interesting given the most recent we're from the last season in the championship, as it seems (on the surface) we've just moved existing debt around rather than dramatically clearing down, and potentially taken on more.

I think 90% of it is the changing head coaches. The other two things aren't that unusual in football, especially abroad.

Sorry I should've gone into more detail but imagine a working environment where your CEO is constantly present glancing over your work? Then your CEO has some crooks with no official titles also present in your office checking out your work too and you're not even sure what they do, then all this without a strong leader/staff rep and a joke of a HR department. And as Robert Peel mentions, shift patterns suddenly change, all the multitude of languages too and different cultures amongst players. All of this just leads to a mishmash team if there isn't a Head Coach strong enough to unify the team with one common purpose.

The basic principles of running a company, having a happy workforce and happy office could lead to SOME of the issues we see being resolved. Do we do any personality scouting at all? Will this player fit in this team with the characters we have? I highly doubt it.

If I ever won a crap ton of money (lottery etc.) I can tell you now I would buy Watford FC. I love this club and no matter how much brown toilet water we have seen flushed all over it these past few seasons, it's still "our" club. It's not Pozzo's, Duxbury's or Mogi's. EJ and GT made this club what it is, and a statue proudly stands outside the Vic in his honor. We own this club, although not by papers. It's ours because we followed what GT and EJ wanted to build.

If we could, all of us would probably get together and buy the club back like Portsmouth did a few years ago. I don't mind losing games, that's part of football. What I do mind, and what does hurt the most in recent times, is the finger pointing combined with no clear answers from those who run this club. I applaud what Pozzo did by saving us from going out of business almost, but I do not applaud what he has turned us into - a trading hub with 100M+ of debt due to loans, trying to cover botched transfer fees and loans against the stadium, compounded with relegation twice in three years.

    I want our club back.

Similarly, my company was taken over by a Dutch company a few months ago. Since the merger there have been big differences of opinion on a lot of stuff, including how things are done, which is mainly top down from our egomaniac CEO.

Share price has gone down 80% and so many people have left it's crazy, plus we don't pay top whack so no one wants to join.

    Sounds quite familiar.

Gino and Duxbury are many things - but them not even bothering to go to a game where we could be (and were) relegated is a low.

    Disgraceful attitude.

I broadly agree - unless they’re away finalising the appointment. Much more valuable for them to be doing that and getting that right then showing up to Palace, in my opinion.

I’m not going to give them enough credit for that - and I’d still say it’s bad form if you can’t schedule your chase of a new manager around a 90 minute period on a Saturday afternoon. Especially one where the club you own/run can be relegated.

I really doubt we will have missed out on a target just because they went to Selhurst Park.
