As for Louza I've only really witnessed the last one and a half games. Yes he has looked good and a very accomplished player, but he needs to show this kind of form and better in the run up. Having someone showing for the ball and demanding it is a breath of fresh air though. Fingers crossed he can keep it up and even better it.

He’ll go to Udinese I think. Mogi wins. Udinese win. Watford less so.

He's probably the most (only?) enjoyable part of watching us at the moment. Wonderful player

Probably the problem with half our squad. Professional pride non existent.

It seems he expressed his support for his old side and it hasn’t gone down well .

But is there really much wrong with it in reality apart from maybe bad timing ?

I hate to say it but these players won’t just be thinking about Watford 24/7.

As I say he is just giving support to his old team mates.

The least of our many, many problems is Louza tweeting good luck to his old team.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back at Nantes. They've had a much better season and a certain agent can probably make some money out of a deal to take him back there.

Yes - hardly crime of the century .

Just a common thing football players do.

    Ridiculous.
People are allowed to have made friends before they join another club.
Hardly up there with Hodgson'$ flagrant flaunting of his current bosses.
Not that they were there to witness it!

Can they afford the fee we'd like? Or will we have to take a hit? Would like to keep him in the Championship, but I reckon he'll go

I'd like to keep him, he'll be great in the Championship. I'm sure Mogi can work out a deal that suits everyone except Watford though.

    Had a knee operation

Probably been playing with it and who knows how long he will be out for with our medical team !

Will it make it more likely that we keep him like what happened with Hughes in the Championship? Or will the early relegation mean he'll be able to recover in time for a move?

Who knows - let’s get him fit first which with our medical record and team might be a while.

Nowt wrong with it. Like many a player he keeps track of his former club's fortunes and has friends there. He's one of the few relatively brighter spots in the season. The ability is clearly there and he's shown it for Morocco and will no doubt do so in Qatar. It's just a shame the others around him in midfield are generally garbage.

Joining Sarr on the naughty list? Or does the extra distance of a ‘like’ in addition to a more contextual argument make it acceptable?

I personally agree with the basis of this tweet.

All people are entitled to their own opinion and shouldn’t have something forced onto them if it is against their beliefs.

Would I have had an issue wearing a rainbow name and number? Absolutely not. I have friends in the LGBTQ community, and would have considered it an honour. However I do believe individuals should have a choice when it comes to supporting a cause.

I would hope that Louza’s like is perhaps more emblematic of his stance on players rights to choose what cause they support rather than the fact that he would not support the LGBTQ movement.

The Sarr post is more aggravating because of the wording with the picture IMO.

This one seems a bit less ****heady as it's not an outright show of support to him, but merely 'respect his opinion' (though of course I wouldn't be surprised if Louza agrees with what Gueye did)

What's really funny is how it apparently directly equates speaking out against sports betting with being a brain-damaged anti-vaxxer.

Is Louza fully recovered and fit now? Anyone know what the knee injury was and how he did it?

He's been shown in training this week with the squad in the club's videos, so presume he's recovered.

Looks like he has only been in the gym, rather than out on the grass. My guess would be that he misses the first couple of weeks of the season.

Thank you for the update 'lowerrous' and 'tomwatfordfc'. The reason I asked is that Louza is an exciting talent and I do hope his injury is no more than a temporary set back.

When he arrived there was the question mark about whether he could cope with the physicality of the English game. I noticed that he did start to put in feisty tackles and generally 'put himself about' a bit more. It looked to me as though he was 'learning lessons' and trying to improve a weaker side to his game. However, sometimes a player just isn't cut out to put in the hard tackles and if they do, then they come off worse. This is why I would like to know if Louza's was a contact injury or just twisting?

Technically he's great and I'm hoping a good coach will help him contribute off the ball by interceptions and covering rather than meaty tackles which I don't think he's built for.

Interesting question and insight that. I’d like to know what others think to, because you’re right he wasn’t shy of getting stuck in.

In the latest training vid the club posted you can see that Louza has lost a lot of muscle on his injured leg. It seems @TomWatfordFC 's assessment is likely to be right that he'll miss the first couple of weeks of the season; it may even be a bit more.

That cannot be the same person's legs! His left thigh looks bigger than his entire right leg.

At least he'll fit in our midfield properly now, running in circles.
