Given that he might not yet be ready to be a regular for us, I'd rather he was given another loan where he can start every game in a back four (he currently plays in a back three, which is a bit easier). Probably another League One club, at a stretch lower Champ.
Our next coach might like a back three! My guess would be they would let the coach have a look at him in pre season and make a call on whether to keep or loan.
I hope not. Boring and limited formation. It also doesn't make sense given our regular turnover of managers, considering how less popular it is and that it requires some more specific players than the more common 433.
Well firstly, it's not just one formation, and secondly, I'm sure that would be news to Zola and Jokanovic!
Not the right place to post this but some of you may be interested in reading about a past player, suffered a bad injury and was released by Coventry, worked his way back to a contract at M.K. MK Dons have signed full-back Brandon Mason on a free transfer. Mason, 24, has been out of contract since being released by Coventry City last summer, and has been training with the club this season. He progressed through the Watford academy and played four times for the Hornets, making his debut in 2017. Mason joined the Sky Blues in 2018, going on to make 46 appearances, while he also spent time on loan at St Mirren last season featuring 12 times.
Lost at home to now one from the bottom Peterborough, not the sort of a result for a team with aspirations of promotion
No but think we have done that in the past - wasn't there a game when we lost 2-0 to Millwall under Boothroyd and Mahon missed a penalty?
I guess all teams have the opposite of what you expect results, like Yeovil, Huddersfield from a few years back and Norwich this season, although maybe only WFC supporters expected us to beat Norwich
Kamil Conteh could be one to watch. Having a good loan spell at Braintree, with their manager saying he looks a real player and has all the attributes to play at a very high level. Mirrors what John Hughes said about Conteh also whilst he trained with Dunfermline in January.
Adam Parkea on loan at Dover had an interesting afternoon. They were 5-2 up at Wrexham which is no mean feet itself but managed to lose 6-5 with 2 injury time goals .
Oh dear a long drive home from Wrexham to Dover, who are bottom of the league and manager is no other than Andy Hessenthaler
Ross County's last three wins have all been 1-0 courtesy of a Hungbo penalty. Alright they're penalties but those wins have helped County secure a top 6 finish, which I presume is a pretty good achievement for them.
Great job by Malky - they were favorites to go down. Obviously get into the area enough to get penalties. We never do that.
Perhaps an even bigger prize to come, top 4 gets European football, and they're just a point adrift at the moment, with the top 6 all to play one more game against each other
TDB got back in the starting line up (I think thanks to a couple injuries) for Reading but got a bit of a slagging off on Twitter for his performance. Hopefully keeps his place and gets his form back. Quina still starting regularly but also not as popular as he was with the Barnsley fans (sure their form doesn't help). Apparently ended up at wing back today... Good performance from Zinc and a lovely assist as Forest build up good form for the play offs. Seems to be fully established as a number 10 for them now rather than a winger, which I think suits his capabilities Dahlberg still wasting away on the bench for Gillingham, and joined now by Phillips, who came on in the 93rd minute. Okoye conceded 3 against relegation rivals and Sparta are bottom. First goal was bizarre as he seemed to just leave a FK to go into the bottom corner? Can't work it out as commentary is Dutch, think maybe he didn't hear the whistle? Couldn't do much about the other 2. Pollock still not back in the team regularly for Cheltenham, and sat on the bench this weekend.
Hahaha Okoye is an absolute disaster. We'll be in good hands next season as long as we don't face any shots on target.
Yes - Forest fans say he is very good technically but not quick so probably right there. Presume Pollock and Phillips will go back out on loan and we will try to flog Quina.
Massive shift from Okoye today, making 9 saves (inc. a pen) in Sparta Rotterdam's 1-0 win over Vitesse.
Think he's been in and out of the side/squad. It seems he's not very good, has barely scored for them I believe.
Is he at AFC Wimbledon? They haven’t won in 20 games so guess they are pretty hapless as a team generally ! Whereas Hungbo and Zinckernagel are doing well in a team full of confidence and high on morale.
No guess not if he is fit but who knows. Bit of a difference between the Premier league and being rubbish and League One and being rubbish though.
