    It won’t be RH74

I suspect a few of us have heard rumours.

My sources tell me that the new manager is already signed up for next season. Let's just say you'd better lock up your grannies...

I have heard Niko Kovac's name mentioned. Utterly preposterous.

Just to entertain it - I can't see it happening given that we couldn't afford him and he wouldn't want to drop down to a club in the second tier. Even if we could afford him, and for whatever reason, he did want to come here, he couldn't do anything with our pathetic squad.

    Dyche and Hughton are dinosaurs.

Diego Martinez, if he has the assurance of time from the Pozzo family.

If not, Ronald Macdonald, Krusty the Clown or Peter Griffin.

I’d say there’s no chance. He’s committed himself to Derby twice this evening already.

Plus he turned down interview for Everton job to stay at Derby - he’s building a good reputation. There’s no way he comes to our career graveyard and blows it.

Depends on the clubs strategy..... Continue with the current policy of buying odd-job "potential unpolished diamonds" and nothing changes, very few managers out there will be interested and the end result will be the same.
We need a manager that can build a team and own it, plus have a say on player reqs so am waiting to hear some proper thinking from the top regarding their long term strategy. Can't see it....

Would never happen, but Bielsa. Would be a sign of intent and philosophy shift, you'd have to give him time and backing.

I’m going to stick my neck out and say it will be an unemployed Spanish or Italian manager. When appointed everyone will be googling his name to find out who the heck he is

He turns 67 in a couple of months - it would hardly indicate a shift to a more long-term perspective.

Before Leeds, Bielsa had a big reputation for only staying at clubs for 1-2 years before quitting. So not sure ‘giving time’ would work for either party!

Deeney and Abdi as a duo. One of them will be an excellent manager and one will not and I cannot decide which way round it will be.

Either way, we employ them as joint coaches then sack the ineffective one in a ruthless and uncompromising manner in November after a 0-0 draw at Rotherham.

I've heard there is going to be a Peaky Blinders spin-off, but if this is a teaser it looks disappointing.

Almen doesn’t do ‘duos’. He doesn’t share them either. As far as He’s concerned, a Twix Duo is all His. He is fully aware that if He returns, it’d be grossly unfair to the rest of the teams in world football.

With a left-hook like that, might get a few of our cowards minds on the job. Young age of 57. He reminds me (in this image) of that bloke in the "Goonies" movie from the 80s. :p

I have a feeling we are getting a relatively young, relatively inexperienced (at senior level) manager from the UK.

Bielsa has to be the most overrated manager of all time. What has he actually ever done? Got Leeds promoted at the second time of asking and kept them up for a season. That's it. Oh, and won the Olympics in 2004 and a few titles in Argentina in the 90's.

Never been given/trusted with the job at a big club, never won a major trophy, and set about undoing his work at Leeds because he only has one tactic and can't organise a team to defend competently to save his life. The fact people refer to him as "world class" has to be one of the weirdest things in football.

Thankfully he'd never come here anyway.

He would certainly be a ex-player fans' would love to mange us. Still has a lot of love for the club - has great hair - and knows the sport and club well. He is also the sort of guy Dux would never dream of going for even if he was on their radar. Why? Because we need an old timer who can blame fans' for his poor subs, smile and joke through a post-match interview despite being battered and say and do anything they are told.

We would never get a manager who is young and upcoming, wants to build a new philosophy with the side and bring in some fresh and willing faces. Exactly what we need right now, but not what we will get.

What about Malky Mackay? Knows the league, knows how to get teams playing for him. He did a good job for us, as well as Cardiff before his fall out with Tan, was linked to premier league clubs and has by all accounts done very well at Ross County this season. Knows Hungbo, who you would have thought will feature for us next season and should know one or two of the Scottish players we were looking at earlier in the season.

As long as none of the foriegn players look at any of his text messages then we should be ok.
