I thought we all agreed to never correct eachother when we're talking b*ollocks? We must stand by one another's crap at all times, no matter how wrong and/or ridiculous. bWo 4 life.
Just dreadful yesterday. Every kick from a rolling ball was spooned into the air and didn't make it past the halfway line. He'd probably given up knowing that Ranieri preferred Foster.
Weird thing about Bachmann is everyone used to say his main advantage over Foster is that he’s better with his feet and playing out from the back, yet he’s now utterly appalling at it and Foster was significantly better at it against Newcastle.
Why does everyone just continue to slowly decline here, I remember when Foster first arrived, his kicking was excellent, now both he and Bachmann have the kicking skills of Andre Gray
He had a ridiculous argument with Samir at one point in the first half because he refused to play it short. It went on for ages and smacked of zero planning or confidence in one another. Eventually he got his way, kicked the ball long and of course it came straight back at us.
Yep I thought that, why kick long and give ball away when short pass to defender was on. Cupid stunt. So fed up with having him on goal...... ffing useless
Yep, the guy is just too unpredictable. He passed it across our area to Kamara in the first half when Kamara was being closed down, ridiculous decision from Bachmann. The defence are a bag of nerves with him behind them.
9 minutes it took him to have his first toddler tantrum, stomping his feet as he spun round on the spot. In a game that needed cool heads and focus he was always likely to cost us. The defence look scared stiff when he plays. He is awful.
I've always said that Foster is the best GK we have at the club and is still good enough to play PL football. Of course we need to bring in someone younger and better than Bachmann to be his understudy with a view to probably replace BF sometime next season as Ben isn't getting any younger. Hopefully that young Nigerian lad we have just brought in is going to be good enough to be the one to take over from Ben after a few months as his understudy.
I’ve never seen a goalkeeper moan as much and go charging after the ref like he does. Head has completely gone. A real shame as I thought he’d come back from the Euros a level or two up.
Probably sensible for Okoye to gain a bit more experience before coming here, he's a puppy in goalkeeper terms, and I guess he probably has more upside than either of our two options now, but still, very odd how we committed to spending £6m for him when he won't arrive until the summer!
He’s mentally weak, not in the sense of Femenia or WTE, but in that he acts like a child when things don’t go his way instead of getting on with the game. Why was he on the floor for so long at Brentford after their equaliser?
Claiming a fictitious injury in an attempt to get the goal disallowed. Despite there being VAR, which showed nothing of the sort. Very weird behaviour. He didn’t do any of this last season. Maybe we’ve just broken another player.
Strange - as he is screaming for a move to a bigger club. Yes Daniel, you continue to act like a child on the pitch and playing below your capability - I am sure Chelsea and Barcelona will be fighting for your signature.
Hodgson coming in will be bad news for Bachmann - Roy will have Foster as one of his main men I suspect.
I've never seen a goalkeeper so meek and recessive in his penalty area. Never. Hides behind the goal-line, constantly looks on the point of tears. I think he feels the need to have a hissy fit every now and then to suggest that he's actually got some aggression deep inside of him. Good at saving shots from 10-20 yards. Very poor at everything else and not even close to premier league quality.
Time to get him Bach in goal. He's gash but I feel like last night will be the night Foster realises he's done with football.
Foster had an atrocious game, but hadn’t really put a foot wrong for the previous 4/5 or so. Bachmann will pretty much have a bad game every time he plays.
Yeah true, his kicking was bad and the third goal he could’ve at least attempted to move. I do think with Bachmann you get that uncertainty in every single game though. Foster does have games where you don’t even notice him as he does everything you’d expect him to. Bachmann seems ****ed in the head now in that he either stays on his line too much, or comes rushing out at completely the wrong time. It’s moot anyway because if Roy won’t drop Cleverley then he’ll certainly never drop his ex baggies player Foster.
Yeah when Bachmann plays you can tell he's thinking about things too much, it's like he's terrified of making a mistake. Foster is completely the other way but you're right, Hodgson isn't dropping him.
I'd give Bachmann another go, maybe being dropped has given him a kick up the arse. I doubt it though. If not then Elliot, what's the point in him being in the squad otherwise?
Without seeing him in training this seems a risk. Based on what we have seen Foster still seems the best (least worst) option from what we have available.
I'm at the point where it wouldn't even bother me if Elliot started on Sunday, just something different would be nice!
Foster ****ed up last night, but if it was not for him we would probably not have any of the three clean sheets we have achieved under Roy, and we would most probably have suffered even more tonkings like we took last night.
Why? Statistically he has been poor this season. Just because the alternative is also poor doesn’t mean that Foster isn’t inadequate (and unprofessional and unlikeable to boot).
