For some reason I am really struggling to successfully pay for tickets online. It no longer gives me a list of acceptable credit cards on the card details screen, and when I go to pay, it just says an unknown error has occurred. Does anyone know why this might be? Does the club accept Mastercard/ Amex? Can they block me buying tickets if I have entered details in incorrectly too many times? Has the club banned me for my anti-Gino Shoutbox antics? Answers on a postcard please.
Is that something that's just started happening this morning or something you've had longer term? Probably either way I'd just call the TO.
Since they moved away from ticketmaster, I think. My friend mostly buys home tickets for me as our accounts are linked, so I’m not really sure when it started.

I’ve only used it a couple of times for away tickets but didn’t have any issues. And when I did a dummy run just now it let me through to the payment details page - though I guess you’re getting an error message after that point?
Yes, only after I enter and submit my card details. I am also unable to assign owners on my mobile on safari or chrome, which isn’t really that relevant, except to say that the club is backwards and the whole customer journey screams of money saving and corner cutting.
Call the Ticket Office....I did this morning as had an issue with tonight's ticket and got through straight away. That either means they are really efficient or nobody is calling them to buy a ticket anymore so they are all sitting around playing Wordle
They do seem to be a lot quicker at getting back, I emailed them to get a refund for the rearranged Southampton and Everton games, I got a reply in about 2 minutes. My monocle popped out!
I worked out what the issue was. I was buying a ticket for a friend (Adult) using my Dad's ID (>65), and it would let me buy the more expensive ticket. I think this is a new rule, as I have definitely bought student tickets on my Dad's account before, and the warning message only appeared for the first time a few minutes ago.
