Thanks for posting. Interesting to see the new keeper. Twente put a penalty past him at 3:50 but it was unsaveable. And then he had a proper rush of blood to the head at 4:38, charging about 35 yards out of his goal and getting away with a very scrappy clearance.
It's the dummy shot that is pure perfection is what makes it an sensational goal, him looking like he's gonna pull the trigger turns the defender round to block and opens up more space for him. Superb speed of thought + technique.

It's a shame Pollock doesn't have a yard more pace but luckily his reading of the game and positioning look good for a 20 year old. Plus he does the basics very well getting a lot of blocks and clearances in. He looks like a younger Sierralta, nothing flashy about him at all but 100% commitment, a beast in the air and loves defending.

You might want to spare Pontus Dahlberg's blushes and avoid posting his efforts today in goal for Gillingham. Faced 8 shots on target this afternoon and let in....7! That includes 4 penalties from one Oxford player, of which one was handled in the box by fellow Hornets loanee Dan Phillips. Notwithstanding Gillingham's mess of a team (and we should sympathise with that), whatever happened to the promising young full international we signed from Sweden several years back? Not developing into a likely replacement for one of our departing keepers after all. I doubt Woy will be looking up to see if there's a recall clause in his latest contract!
He’s not really even a proper full international. Has 2 Sweden caps for sure but both in the equivalent of B team friendlies played outside of the normal international windows, against Estonia and Moldova respectively.
