Dream land. Anyway Gino would p** that away on cheap loan deals knowing our luck. His stock is almost certainly higher though to when we got him. Sarr will take a while to find his form again and apart from King (who rarely scores) but does work hard, our goal threat is limited. JP and Cucho are others, but nobody from deep midfield ever chips in, too busy defending the clown show at the back. I just hope our new boys can steady it.
And they have just signed a set piece specialist and a big striker to get on the end of those crosses.
This is a team that just lost 1-0 at home, with a full strength side out, to a League One club. We may be sh*t, but so are they.
It’s incredible to think there are 3 teams below us. How bad must their seasons be if they are below Watford.
Team news looks good. Fozzy, Kiko, Kaba and Dennis all back in full training. All new signings available. Etebo should join group training in a couple of weeks.
My guess is Ranieri goes with: Bachmann Ngakia Cathcart Samir Kamara Cleverley Sissoko Kucka Pedro Dennis King Subs: Foster Kiko Morris Sierralta Kayembe Tufat Sema Cucho Fletcher
If Foster, Samir, Kamara and Dennis all start, we'll have much better chance of getting a good result on Saturday. If not we'll lose probably.
At the risk of sounding like the world's oldest man, how do you listen to 3 Counties radio commentary these days? I always end up getting L*t*n when I try to tune in on the radio and you can't listen to live games via the internet for some reason. Any ideas? I'd try watching tomorrow on a dodgy stream but they always conk out on me which drives me up the wall
We need to play Foster. The balance of the side (at least on paper) looks infinitely stronger with some left-footers. I think Kamara will make a massive difference - long time since we had a left-back with any kind of pace. Trying to think since 2006.... Stewart, Powell, Sadler?, Doyley for a bit, Jon Harley, Andrew Taylor was excellent, ****inson, Pudil, Ake was probably the best one, Holebas Zeegelaar and Masina...........
Difference is Nath, that Cambridge side had a spine and went out with a plan not to get humbled. New signings aside, I very much doubt any of our lot will want to not lose as much as Cambridge did. Only upturn is if CR70 has spent the week drilling it home how important these next three games are in our season as a whole. and equally, how important playing us is for these three teams from their own prospective.
Not quite a full strength team, but should have been strong enough. Their 'keeper had a worldy of a game and their striker gave our makeshift CB partnership a torrid time. 9 games out of ten, we'd win that game. Wood and Trippier should be available for our game, but it's not looking likely that we'll get a CB registered in time.
Liked for the ‘oldest man’ comment and then reinforcing that you might be close to that milestone by using the Olde Englishe term ‘conk out’ and thinking the game is tomorrow... As mentioned, listen to commentary through Watford fc website foc.
Yeah sure but one of the biggest, if not the biggest, teams in the world shouldnt be losing to a League 1 team.
'Dennis will be assessed... as available' Given that it was a 'knock' that kept him out of the pointless yet still embarrassing Leicester cup game, I highly fuccking doubt there is any question over whether we will be starting our sole offensive threat or not.
Sad news today. Life long Hornet Louise formerly Kerridge* died recently from a heart attack whilst walking her new dog. Roly, her late husband and she were stalwarts of the Vicarage Road end during the climb to Division 1 and later relocated to the UGT. Roly predeceased Louise some eight years ago from a recurrence of a brain tumour. Louise had remarried. In 2018 ( I think) I bumped into, literally, two of their sons,I think James and George,at Selhurst Park when TC scored that late winner. Louise was a warm, effervescent lady, with a smile that would light up Hertfordshire. She had a particular liking for Colin West's thighs! RIP Louise. * I'm not sure of her later surname.
Sierralta has to start ahead of Crapfart. They're going to be pinging balls to Wood and he's the only one who has the aerial ability and physicality to deal with it.
Louise sounds like she was a nice lady. Now you're up there Louise have a quick word with the big man about our PL survival as we need all the divine intervention we can get
Sounds likely, personally I'd go with: Foster Ngakia Sierralta Samir Kamara Cleverley Sissoko Cucho Pedro King Dennis
Yeah! I agree about Sierralta as his aerial ability is definitely his best trait and we are going to need that ability with Woods playing for the Geordies
