Another example of someone red-hot in the Dutch league completely unable to replicate it anywhere else.
Well it wouldn't even need an extreme emergency with Masina at AFCON and Kiko injured yet again, as it stands it's Kamara, Rose and then down to Ngakia and the famous Morris
I'm sure you're well versed in this, but just to do my part to bust this myth for any interested observers - the oft-repeated internet 'statistic' that we swallow, on average, 8 spiders in our sleep a year(!), likely comes from an article published in the early 90's on the subject of how readily people accept information they read online, however ridiculous it is - the made up statistic immediately proceeded to do the 'lie goes round the world, truth getting its pants on' dance and become accepted by lots of idiots the world over as fact. In reality it's incredibly unlikely for a host of scientific/biological reasons that any spider would ever come near your mouth whilst you're sleeping: https://www.scientificamerican.com/...e-swallow-8-spiders-a-year-while-they-sleep1/
If we are to move to 3 at the back what does that mean for Sarr? Surely we wouldn't then be able to play with wingers and he's completely anonymous in the centre.
We would perhaps do 3-4-3 in that case with Kamara and Femenia being the defensive wide options in midfield? Still allows for Sarr-King-Dennis up top. But I personally don’t think we will change shape. We will just draft players into the weak positions in the current shape - IMO obviously.
If we don't sign a goalkeeper the other signings are just damage limitation. If Bachmann plays another league game we're down.
Apparently we are showing interest in Jed Wallace at Millwall, I believe he could be a good shout for us as I think he could possibly make a successful step up to the PL
Already so bored of the media’s frenzied excitement over Newcastle throwing obscene amounts of money at new players. The same media that was up in arms about a super league strangely don’t seem to care about fans or a ‘level playing field’ when they might benefit financially themselves from this erosion of sporting integrity.
Don't rule out a late deal if someone on our radar becomes available. #onetowatch #radar #deadlineday #thumbsup
I was going to post the same thing. As soon as I read it I thought here we go again. Kabasele and WTE coming back should not matter one bit, in fact we should be using this time to get them out of the club this month!
WTE has shown himself to be one of the worst defenders the premier league has ever seen. Is his return somehow supposed to be seen as a positive?
Samir is a decent signing. If he hadn't come from Udinese people would be looking differently at him.
Question. Do all our signings have whacking great relegation clauses in them? Like the ones that caused us to lose our key midfielder. Or was that just a passing Duxbury idea?
Would we? He’s a player who at times was overlooked at Udinese for WTE and has only been somewhat of a regular this season.
Yes that's my opinion. We've been crying out for a left sided CB and they've got one and people still seem unhappy about it. Yes it should of all been cleared up during the Summer but the blinkers were on for the club and a massive percentage of supporters due to the defensive record last season. Ok he was overlooked maybe for WTE, I can't confirm that but I've seen a decent level in him on the occasions I've seen him.
