Interesting trivia - that young girl on the test card is still alive and well - and still has the clown doll. She was the daughter of one of the Television producers and got a bit of fame out of it.

Used to hate that doll when I was younger.

Me too. The girl and doll creeped me out when I was younger. I can see why now. The picture looks like a frame from a horror movie.

If I remember correctly wasn't there a tune on loop on it as well?

Yes I think there was. I reckon the theme from Halloween would have been suitable!

Yup. They sound like late 70's action spy shows.

I've just received an email from the club saying the Palace match is postponed. Something to do with Covid, apparently.

Damn. And just minutes after you'd already booked a 5 star central London hotel for the night, brimmed your fuel tank in anticipation of the drive to the airport and booked those non-refundable plane tickets. I hope Gino covers your costs.

Different strokes, I always found that picture cute, like a scene from Play School. A bit of a revelation when I first saw it when previously it appeared way past my bedtime.

That creepiness was well used in the brilliant series Life on Mars.

I had this vague thought it was 'Wheels Cha Cha Cha'. (Once heard, never forgotten and always loathed).
But it seems the music was picked for all being utterly unmemorable. High production values, but cr*p.

Slow this down to 0.25 and it starts getting creepy a couple of minutes in.

The photo was taken 1967 and I imagine the music was composed around the same era. A lot of music from the 1950s through the 1970s was like that, whether from crime dramas like Perry Mason, Ironside and Quincy, James Bond movies, the more popular instrumental stuff (like from Motown) - richly orchestrated, with prominent brass and a strong jazz flavour. I'm not a fan of it either - cleverly put together, but a bit OTT, cliched and cheesy.

Third winnable fixture in a row where we end up with zero points. Disaster looms.

Play it backwards on your Dansette and the lyrics clearly say the Beatles are dead.

Surely Burnley would be the first? Or do they not go in order of postponements?

I suspect they might if it was one or two games stretched out but we had 3 very quickly in a row.

Norwich at at West Ham and Everton play Leicester on the 11th so not sure why we aren't playing then?

One my exes was a member of a really weird sub-culture that collected and collated 'that' music. Quite a few 'big' name DJ's and record producers were regular attendees at the nights when the actual bands played their 'hits'.
