An utterly abysmal, shambolic performance from start to finish, with terrible marks for pretty much every individual player, but surprisingly the worst rating of all for Papa Clau. It's hard to believe how bad a coaching performance that was; not that it excuses the disgraceful attempts at play those on theb pitch offered. My default was that I believed we would be able to do enough, with January reinforcements, to stay up. After seeing that, I'm honestly not sure where we go from here - we did the unthinkable and lost to this cobbled together group of Championship players. I think at this point I'm going to have to change my mindset to 'consigned to relegation', which is incredibly fuccking depressing. What a load of shyte.

Lack of self belief and confidence quickly became panic I maintain on paper this side had 40 points in it (mainly because our forward line has goals) but tonight I saw a relegated side Pointless getting emotional about it, it is what it is

I mean we were 2nd best first half, changed nothing, then made subs that made us worse each time. Ranieri has so much experience and does some great stuff but how has he got that so badly wrong tonight.
Sickening. Losing to a team in their cup final. We were awful from the off. The only plus is that we scored at all. We offered nothing. We were under the cosh throughout. Our shape was wrong. Kucka and WTE need to be never in the matchday squad, let alone in the starting line up. I've loved Claudio since he came here, but he got nothing right today. The starting line up and subs were all appalling. Sema never needs to come on. Just a sickening blow to our chances of taking some winnable points after wasting far better performances in pride matches against Chelsea and city. Today was all round a bad day at the office for everyone except from Sissolo, Dennis and Kiko.
Just didn’t work from the start. The line up was wrong, we never had any real control of the middle of the pitch and we were second to most balls. Brentford were equally **** though and there was as much argument for us leading at half time as if they had been. What happened after half time was a joke though. Much the same for the first 15 mins but then taking off Cleverley (who had his worst game in ages) for Pedro was shown to be the wrong sub within a few minutes as Brentford started to boss it. Even then they weren’t that good, but we had no presence outside our own box and made it easy for them. Kucka was behind the play all night, the Ngakia experiment was a failure and Uncle Claudio made his first real errors. I’ve no idea what our pass completion rate was but it felt like it was catastrophically low. Oh and Troost gonna Troost.
I blame Ranieri for the poor subs, if Clevs is coming off put Louza on and dont ever play Sema unless it is an emergency. As for the WTF tackle, yeah it wasnt as if anybody here was really surprised is it. Very disappointed as up until the substitutions they didnt really have a sniff.
We get the ball back with the goalkeeper, relive the pressure by Bachmann smashing it all the way back to their goal keeper and invite them on again! Struggling to win the ball in the air? Smash every clearance up in the air and watch it come back at us again! Midfield? Why bother just smash it upfield! Such an annoying performance with little attempt to play football for large portions of the game, a far cry from the entertaining stuff against Man Utd and Chelsea
Don't agree about shambolic and abysmal, nor that every player was terrible. Kiko for a start off, had an excellent game in the main. Dennis too, although he was much, much quieter in the second half. I really thought we were going to make it through for a 0-1 win and get that first clean sheet. Once we conceded one though, it always looked like they'd score again and they had next to no cutting edge whatsoever.
That was very poor. Silly tackle by WTE and we invited pressure onto ourselves . Agree subs were bad.

One of the worst performances with the ball I can remember for a long time. All the poise and composure of Peter Sutcliffe. Every single one of them tonight a total disgrace (with exception maybe of King who worked his nuts off). I hope Troost TheMong steps on a plug. Useless sh*tc**t.
Honestly how he wasn't hooked at HT. What did Ranieri think he was actually contributing to the game, he is a final sub at best, no way on earth should he be anchoring our midfield.

Wow, talk about self destruct. We were firmly in control of that for the most part, Brentford are nothing more than a Championship side having their time in the sun and to come away with 0 points is a shocking result. They are Sheff Utd reincarnated. We have a number of very good players but it is counter balanced with a number of players you wouldn't want in your sunday league team. Kucha looks like an over 40s vet who thinks he's still got it. He was absolutely woeful, gave the ball away every time and played a huge part in our loss. He gave the ball away in the danger zone and didn't even bother trying to retrieve it. It was criminal to take Clevs off instead of him. Ngakia looks shell shocked tonight, good player on his day but can't handle pressure. Bachmann again, shocking player - how many times did he kick the ball into touch or straight through to the opposition goalie? I actually thought that was WTE best performance this season, he dealt with almost everything reasonably well but then he just can't help himself can he? Brains of a rocking horse. You are never going to win a game of football at this level with players like him. It's unfortunate we have 5 just like him in our starting line up. We got a new technical director in who is no different to Giraldi, scattergun approach which has left us woefully inept at the back yet again.

Sickening defeat. Subs made us worse. Troost-Ekong needs to be sent out on loan. I said after Leicester he'd probably lost all his confidence and today he's cost us not only their equaliser (5 live said he switched off) but then gave away the most stupid penalty in the last minute.

Kucka and WTF are beyond awful. The tactics of sitting back sitting back just handed those *****s the advantage. I don't think the problem really was the back four/five. The midfield was second best throughout the game. So much possession wasted. Brentford out-thought and out-fought them. Brentford completely deserved that win; the fact that the goals came late is irrelevant. That defeat concerns me greatly: Brentford are not a great team, but we looked poor.
