Finally got round to watching this (MOTD2 and the full match) and two things: I knew that WTE's performance was going to poor but FFS that was stunning levels of ineptitude. Why wasn't that match abandoned when the snow really came down? The ball was literally having problems rolling across the pitch.
1. It was either WTE or Harry Hornet. HH injured a wing in the warm up. 2. The game wasn’t called off because Leicester were winning. Don’t you know nuffin?
I was wondering whether it would be called off (and actually hoping so we could replay the match in March or whenever with a competent defence!) but we scored when the snow was falling down, and the pitch became pretty clear once they'd made the lines visible and the snowfall was lighter, so sadly it was never going to happen.
Let's cut to the chase, who have Udinese got spare at the moment for us? They were obviously pretending with that amateur who won their 'Play in the Prem' competition and shipped over using WTE's passport. Can we be sent the experienced international pro we were promised previously please? Won't be difficult to get hold of an obvious upgrade to sort our defence out will it?
It didn't matter in the end, but how were there only 7 mins of injury time? 5 subs, 6 goals, at least one significant break in play for an injury (think it was Soyuncu), plus 3 minutes of the groundsmen sweeping the lines in the second half. It should have been at least 8 or 9, Would have been crap had we pulled one back, which we came close to doing.
