Why are you so constantly and repetitively insistent on completely ignoring both what pretty much every other fan has seen with their eyes week to week, as well as what those with stats jobs/backgrounds/insights have demonstrated through the use of them on this very forum? Do you think droning on about it in exactly the same post repeated endlessly, sometimes multiple times in the same day, will somehow change the past and make Foster not have made those mistakes?

I did enjoy how, I think i'm right in saying that our entire back 5 yesterday cost £0 in transfer fees. Their back 5 cost in the region of a combined £210m.

So we are saying it took £500k a week player to make Cathcart look good :) he had a good game in the week for NI as well didn’t he ?

there is something really dislikable about Ronaldo , take somebody like Rashford and I think decent human being , look at Ronaldo’s grinning face and all I think is would be nice to se one of our bigger players go right through him

    Well, duh.

He comes across as totally self-absorbed. Which is quite clearly not true of Rashford, who is a bit more than a “decent human being”, actually.

I walked into Winsley (Small village in Wiltshire) Social Club at 14:45 and got the middle finger from a bloke that I did not know even supported Man Utd, today was a good day.

Ronaldo took the piss out of Coca-Cola and promoted water which is a good thing in my book.

Or maybe he promoted coca cola inadvertently unless you know of the millions who binned

Really pissed off I couldn’t watch the game yesterday due to someone’s f up at work.

Anyone know if there any way of watching the full game without subscribing to Sky which I refuse to do?

Shame we can't play Ole's United again, that was a lot of fun.

Not far off . Massina was about 2-3 mill and Foster was about the same . Kiko , Cathcart and N’Koulou were all free , I believe .

Take Sarr out the team and the whole first XI cost not much more than 15-20 mill.

Dennis, King, Cucho and Pedro cost a total of approx 5 mill .

Not bad for an ownership that apparently are clueless in the transfer market.

Minor quibble, but I'm almost certain Pedro cost more than 5 mill by himself after his deal was restructured.

That's still peanuts by Premier League standards though.

Crazy idea - wait more than literally one game against the only bigger basket case in the league than us (with an extremely expensively assembled attack) before sucking off our defence and how genius a use of transfers it was that put it all together.

Or, indeed, even just look at their record and what fielding them led directly to literally the season before last. Like I said - madness, I know.

I’m not a fan, but you could argue that his single-minded self-absorption is at least in part what has made him such a good player.

    Agreed.

If Troy had the same single minded obsession with his physique, fitness and training he could still be with us and would have scored his obligatory pen vs Utd.

You could be right . I just remember it being said it was 2.5m when they signed him .

Very difficult to tell exact amount of deals because they rely on so many caveats of future performances.

You're correct, it was low initially. Then his old club wanted to renegotiate due to cash flow issues. Off the top of my head I think we ended up paying them a lot more upfront and lost some of the back end clauses.

Agree however he likes to throw himself around a bit and has a nasty streak in him of trying to con refs for fouls etc, he isn’t quite the sportsman he would like the world to think, which is a shame as he can be unplayable when he sticks to the good stuff!

Got to feel a bit sorry for Sancho.

Lad has genuine talent, but United are a mess. Terrible choice of destination for his career.

Should have come back to us instead.

He also needlessly knobbled Gary Penrice when playing for Norwich during a pre-season friendly. I seem to remember that he had an attitude problem which was one of the reason's Steve Harrison jettisoned him. Saying that Harry seemed to fall out with alot of players at various times. In subsequent interviews he always says that he found the management side of things really hard and much preferred just being a coach. Sherwood appears to always have been an arrogant c 0 c k.

I spoke to him once on the phone. It took all of 10 seconds for him to make clear what an absolute weapon he is. He was incredibly arrogant.

Nothing really terrible to report this week. Everything is in fine working order, just fine.

Except for Sarr and even potentially WTE stropping slightly?

I want WTE to do well because he genuinely seems like a great guy but again I’m just not sure he can do it at this level.

Full credit to Dennis. I have been a big critic of his. Unlike others I find him quite frustrating to watch. He is a marauding troublemaker which at his best causes lots of problems for the opposition but at his worst makes us at least feel and look disjointed in attacks. He keeps proving me wrong though and credit where credit is due and that’s almost certainly when we’ve beaten United 4-1. Well done the menace.

This is an interesting one: Watching the replays, I can see why he didn't give a foul - it's debatable. Certainly robust. But Moss was letting the game flow throughout (and Watford profited from that) and this was consistent. He didn't have the luxury of repeated replays (I know VAR does, but the game moves on fast, with no break to think it over).

I thought bouncing the ball or rolling it on floor and picking up again was because there was a "4 steps" rule with ball in hand. So to take ball from 6 yard box to edge of 18 yard box they would employ the bounce or roll. Taken from my 1970's "Big Match" memory bank. Whereas the 5 second rule was a later one maybe the 80's ?

  35. Forzainglese

    Forzainglese Reservist

Yes, that's right. Although I have a (probably false) memory that it was 3 steps and 6 seconds.
