That would be sensational and a big yes from me. Fingers crossed that will pan out although wasn't there a big falling out between Ranieri and Shakespeare at Leicester? A bit of backstabbing apparently.

Also, he seemed to leave under a cloud after Pearson was sacked, so not sure how true this would actually be.

Pearson will he sacked soon so we may as well get them all together, that way there can be no dispute over who gets the credit when we win the league.

We've seen 2 joint managers a few times before, have we ever seen 3?

Yes a massive massive falling out. Can't believe they would work together again, more likely to end up with Pearson, though he may be sacked shortly anyway...

Wasn’t Shakespeare just there when Ranieri arrived and stayed when he left? He’s not exactly a Ranieri loyalist (he seems to already have them with him) - and I also doubt Shakespeare would be too drawn to return to a club that rather unceremoniously dumped him with 2 games of a season left.

Would be really really surprised if there’s anything in this. But then it is Gino Pozzo and Scott Duxbury who lack a decent amount of self-awareness in such matters so it’s probably true.

If true, it could just be the falling out was squarely a Pearson thing and had nothing to do with Shakespeare.

Given his track record, it’s not entirely implausible he acted in a way that was out of line. Shakespeare obviously then just left by proxy as he was his assistant.

They’ve not worked together since, so it’s not like they’re joined at the hip necessarily.

Interesting to note that neither of the two footballs are the most spherical object in that picture.

Didn't we actually offer 'Shaky' the job when Pearson was given the heave-ho but he turned it down out of loyalty to his chum, Nige?

In line with what Lloyd posted above, we only "unceremoniously dumped" Pearson, and wanted Shakespeare to stay. However, Shakespeare decided to leave himself out of loyalty to Pearson.

I hope this is true, I always liked and rated Shakespeare. Didn't we want to keep Shakespeare when Peaeson was sacked? I am quite sure that I read we had asked him to stay on but he obviously walked with Pearson.

Claude Puel’s job on the line too. Get them all in. Our Prem title chances depend on it!

Roy Evans and Gerrald Houllier (Liverpool mid to late 1990s era) Not sure i've ever seen three. I wouldn't mind having shakey back. Seemed a decent bloke although much of that side he knew
under Pearson's reign has now gone, so he would need to gel again.

The falling out was between Ranieri and Shakey at Leicester not with Watford. Ranieri suggested Shakey had been undermining him and effectively got him pushed out, at least that's my recollection. Can't believe he'd want to work with him again after that.

Why stop there? Get Martin Allen, Gary Megson and Ian Holloway in too. I’d love to see it.

Yes but he also left Watford with Pearson with two games to go, which was the point I was referring to.

Didn't we try to keep Shakespeare after Pearson was sacked? Sure I read that somewhere...

Still don’t understand why we don’t get Eddie Newton in to help this squad.

He has been assistant under some vet good managers and is currently out of work!

Getting Shakespeare back would be fantastic one of the best assistant coaches in the prem imo

But why yes? If Ranieri has a real problem with the bloke then it’s has the obvious potential to do more harm than good. Would be madness to undermine Ranieri.

Only worth it if Ranieri has specifically requested him and I doubt that’s happened.

In the words of Ranieri: "That's football"

I highly doubt these two are mortal enemies. They won the league together. I think it would be"madness" to say no to an excellent coach.

For me Craig was never going to have a long term future at the club.

I would rather we went in for Shakespeare's Sister.

    More likely to stay.

At least if we get Shakey in, we have a ready made replacement when Ranieri gets sacked in January.

Yep. Which just leaves the March replacement to line up.
Perhaps Shakey would appoint a viable assistant.... who wouldn't feel the need to show loyalty to Shakey ??
