He did a talk at my daughters’ school (and was excellent incidentally) and was definitely dressed then, but maybe we just caught him on an “off” (or, in this case, “on”) day.

What was it you said earlier in that thread...if I've no interest in talking about Foster then I should ignore the thread, which I have.

I stated he didn't execute properly and I even asked if you were happy. I said my piece, I've moved on so I'll leave you and others to slate him as that's what that thread is all about, I've no interest in that so enjoy.

As I said, Foster playing seems to upset you, that's your problem.

That picture creeps me out more than it probably should.

I can't wait for this one. The Vic has lacked in the atmosphere recently; I know the performances have not helped, but let us try and get behind Claudio and the lads against Southampton. The squad isn't fantastic, but we have a real good shot at staying up if we can make The Vic a difficult place to come.

Southampton has some alright players, but the club seems to be on the decline. Southampton at home is a game where we should be targeting 3 points, and they have only won once and scored eight goals so far this season. Although they do have a better defensive record than us, they have conceded 12 so far compared to our 17. However, they haven't had to play Liverpool but did keep a clean sheet against Manchester City, which is remarkable when considering how many goals the Sky Blues score against us. I would be over the moon with 3 points on Saturday, and to be honest, I would celebrate gaining a point when looking at the bigger picture. Statistics show that a newly promoted team has a significantly higher chance of staying up if they achieve 11 points or more in their first ten games. I genuinely thought that we would struggle to get anywhere near 11 points from our opening ten fixtures. However, if we do end Saturday with 11-13 points, that is a fantastic start to the season.

Our recent record against Southampton is even worse than that against Palace and Burnley. And they’re a worse side than both those teams have been on average in the last five and a bit seasons. Hard to excuse not putting that right this coming Saturday.

As you’d expect for a club our size, away wins are pretty rare in the top flight (under the Pozzos we’ve won once every 4-5 games) so it’s important when something like last Saturday’s result comes along we follow it up with another win. Our track record at this is not very good, even if you take away the follow-up games that were away or against top six sides.

Results after away wins in the Prem:

    2015-16
    Newcastle (a) 2-1
    Crystal Palace (h) 0-1
    Stoke (a) 2-0
    West Ham (h) 2-0
    Aston Villa (a) 3-2
    Norwich (h) 2-0
    Sunderland (a) 1-0
    Liverpool (h) 3-0
    Crystal Palace (a) 2-1
    Bournemouth (h) 0-0
    West Brom (a) 1-0
    West Ham (a) 1-3

    2016-17
    West Ham (a) 4-2
    Manchester United (h) 3-1
    Middlesbrough (a) 1-0
    Swansea (a) 0-0
    Arsenal (a) 2-1
    Burnley (h) 2-1

    2017-18
    Bournemouth (a) 2-0
    Brighton (h) 0-0
    Southampton (a) 2-0
    Manchester City (h) 0-6
    Swansea (a) 2-1
    West Brom (a) 2-2
    Newcastle (a) 3-0
    Manchester United (h) 2-4

    2018-19
    Burnley (a) 3-1
    Crystal Palace (h) 2-1
    Wolves (a) 2-0
    Huddersfield (h) 3-0
    West Ham (a) 2-0
    Chelsea (h) 1-2
    Crystal Palace (a) 2-1
    Burnley (h) 0-0
    Cardiff (a) 5-1
    Liverpool (a) 0-5
    Huddersfield (a) 2-1
    Southampton (h) 1-1

    2019-20
    Norwich (a) 2-0
    Burnley (h) 0-3
    Bournemouth (a) 3-0
    Tottenham (h) 0-0

    2021-22
    Norwich (a) 3-1
    Newcastle (h) 1-1

After 22 away wins, we’ve only won the next match 7 times, and if you discount the wins that preceded away games and games against the top 6, that’s still 6 wins following 13 away wins. But we have probably the best person to manage us in the Prem under the Pozzos, and with the exception of Newcastle this Southampton side are weaker than any of the sides we dropped home points to in that list.

I was the same with NFL. Cleveland Browns were epic with Bernie Kosar and Webster Slaughter being quite good. Since then, the Browns have been awful

When I wrote this thingy, I said my Albanian heritage family were from Gramash, it was a trap! Obviously, there isn't a place in Albania called Gramash, that would just be strange. I guess Albania isn't that popular a country.

If it’s any consolation I’ve got a few Southampton supporting friends who all say Long is pretty dreadful nowadays.

I guess it's hard to attract a lot of tourists when you have Greece on your border and Croatia and Ljublijana just up the road. Ljublijana is one of my favourite cities in Europe.

I'm looking forward to this one more than most, simply because it's the first time I'm going to a game with my old man in about 15 years (owing to spells of poor health on his side and me moving away).

Hopefully a decent day out and a few pints after.

In an Albanian shop, in a little town I don't even know the name of, I praised the shopgirl's English. She claimed she'd learned it by watching East Enders.

Does he still get on the bench?

Bound to come on and score - with an assist from Redmond.

    And they have Walcott too.

Want a worse image? Swap Foster's cheeky smile for Klopp's creepy grin with his big glasses.

We’ll probably lose this 1-3 with our solid defence handing out pot shot free kick opportunities to Ward-Prowse like confetti.

In the 70s I used to listen to Radio Tirana on the short wave because I found the Stalinist rhetoric fascinating. What I didn't understand was why the announcers extolled the virtues of Enver Hoxha in Australian accents. Years later I learnt that Melbourne has the second biggest Albanian population (or did).
Read the Tony Hawks book 'One Hit Wonderland'. He took Norman Wisdom to Albania because Norman Wisdom films were the only Western films allowed in the country. Enver Hoxha was a big fan, apparently.
Coincidentally, I queued behind Norman Wisdom in the Australian High Commission when we were both getting visas.

Heard he had a very controversial goal ruled out last night for QPR.

Maybe was thinking the same as VAR isn’t used in the League cup apparently.

He forgot to say we should have had a penalty too.

Will the civil war at WH Tennis Club be resolved?
Will I get a parking space?
Will the little lad who had my LFC ticket still be dressed as Keggy Keegle?
    Nice preview Andre,err KL.
