It is strange, I definitely have a type and specifically dark/brunette hair. It’s weird because it makes no real sense, but I definitely find darker hair more attractive than anyone with blonde hair. Ive tried reading into it but haven’t find any real logic behind it but it’s obviously driven by something.

I think (before I met my lovely wife) if I had been walking down the street one day and I saw a sign saying ‘kick this Labrador puppy in the face to reveal a mystery pale skinned 5”5 brunette with green eyes’…. Well I’d be kicking that dog square in the chops.

This phenomenon when people see themselves on the big screen at sports events. Some a rare few are so enthralled by the actual event they pay no notice. A few are a little gauche and offer a shy smile or wave. But some seem to wet themselves at the sight.

What gets me is when it's supposed to be a minutes silence or commemoration of something or other. These individuals seem unable to control themselves and start going into paroxysms of unintelligible gestures and gurning into the camera. Yes during a period of supposed respect. Fortunately whenever that does happen the cameras quickly switch over.

Pretentious restaurants where you have to google one in every 3 words to work out what the **** they are talking about. Where they serve you a small glass of foam between courses as a “palate cleanser”. I apparently ruined the dinner experience in a posh restaurant on Skye today by saying “give me a pasty, pizza or fish and chips any day”. But I would have enjoyed any of those much more than the pretentious rubbish I had to choose from, each of which came with its own 5 minute story of where the Ingredients came from.

Clearly you make no compromises as far as Mrs K is concerned? Or do you have a perfect 100% overlap? Mrs TuT loves being treated by waiters sucking up to her. I find the whole process tedious ….

No, far from an overlap - for example, she’s not a red meat eater - but I don’t think either of us would choose to eat out in a restaurant which we knew the other wouldn’t like. Similarly, she wouldn’t expect me to go and watch a costume drama with her at the cinema, not me a horror film.

    We don’t get out much…

I’d say we have a 90% overlap, and compromise on half of the remaining 10%. I wouldn’t go and watch the latest Harry Potter release with her but am prepared to visit the odd posh restaurant whilst on holiday (we’re on Skye atm) with only minimal sarcastic grumbling….likewise she won’t spend an hour looking for a rare Arctic warbler in a bush in the rain, but 15 mins would be acceptable!

Getting this through the letter box and planning a boys* Sunday session to watch it with drinks and nibbles (and maybe a takeaway if I'm feeling really lazy) only to get a text telling me to look at the goodawful Pitchero telling me the my son's been picked to play in Bedford...

One of life's few joys is knowing I don't have to deal with Pitchero ever again. Wrong thread I know.

I do believe he has reached saturation point.

Been watching a lovely travel documentary about a place called Luton. Chicken shops, places to gamble, all the class A drugs and sex workers that a man could possibly want…..

This series of 24 Hours in Police Custody has been particularly hard going. Monday night’s episode was a very tough watch.

You do know the Daleks are simply plucky nativist refuseniks up against an evil ‘expert’ determined through unrestrained freedom of movement across space and time to champion BBC diversity values above those of ordinary working class Daleks?

The club pay a *lot* of money for that POS. I could understand/tolerate how awful it is if it was a free app written by a student as part of the code-writing course...

This reminds me of a trip to a very posh place in Spain where the chef announced he was aiming to “defy” the diners.

Dinner came and went. Pretty average not bad with a some weird off the wall stuff. Australian couple were next to us and a course behind us (set tasting menu).

Palate cleanser arrives. White foam but in a mug and quite a lot of it. I’d noticed a few people grimace who were ahead of us. One couple even complained so I look a small spoon full. Horrendous. Actually tasted like soap. Possibly was soap so maybe this was an edgy surprise from chef. Anyway we left it and moved on to dessert.

Cleanser soap arrives at Aussie table. Aussie bloke grabs the mug and downs it in one. His face contorts, he burps and then exclaims to his wife “Strewth Marla! You’re not going to like that”.

People who make Subject Access Requests.

Ok let’s clarify that, it’s quite right you should be able to see what organisations have on file about you and sometimes important things about fairness are discovered.

However, in my experience SARs are often requested by the most vexatious of individuals in a fit of pique. Usually all we have to send them is the 200 increasingly dotty emails they sent us in the first place and maybe one thing we sent them politely informing them we don’t deal with the sort of thing they want us to.

Have you heard of "auditors"? They go around police stations and other places of power such as prisons and when the police or security confront them the auditor will always ask for a copy of their 'body cam footage' through SAR. Really strange, and most of the times these so-called "auditors" are only there to stir trouble in the first place.

I’ve not, but they sound a bit like people who put clips on YouTube about how they were assaulted by security visiting a hospital, videos which contain a whole lot of sweet FA in them.

First time I came across them was a couple of weeks ago in a thread on the ARRSE (NSFW contains the opinions of serving and ex-military so lots of adult themes and language) which a fair few coppers replied to... Some very diverse opinion.

  32. I didn't think so but I only see him on pointless and house of games as that's pretty much all the BBC I watch so maybe he's on a lot more. Admittedly that's 2 shows every weekday so is a lot!

And wish he'd stop asking us at home what we think! "What do you think at home everyone?". I think you should just tell us the answer Richard.

Just as an aside quite a few people I know who've expressed an interest in joining the Rozzers have been advised (by serving cops) to join this to gain some experience before applying.

You're right about SARs. And I know it's FOI requests rather than SARs, but if you ever fancy a few minutes of free entertainment and some reassurance that you don't have a mental health condition, it's well worth paying a visit to www.whatdotheyknow.com. Just try not to come back with a tin foil hat.
