He’d probably make us defend better and be more coherent.

TBH his tactics would suit the Premier league better .

This is unbelievably delusional - worryingly so, but at the same time it gives me some hope, because Gino and co have shown before that they listen to this sort of talk, and are prepared to make judgements when they observe that kind of disparity between what we, and they, can clearly see on the pitch, and what the coach thinks/is claiming happened.

Why go back to any coach who I have already hounded out of our club.

Find me someone new to despise.

    I think he's confused "I don't agree" with " I'm clutching at straws".
    Easily done.
It would be easier to stomach if he replied " That was unforgivable. I got everything wrong I could have and the players played as if their boots were on the wrong feet. I'm off to live as a goat. Byeeee".

Leeds are known for their intensity and pressing, and i wasn’t expecting a masterclass from us today, but we just didn’t compete at all. Second to everything. Sarr anonymous. We never gave them anything to worry about so they were fearless in pressing forward.

Feel like in Sissoko (good engine but poor technically), Kucka (good in spells but struggles with the pace of games) and Tufan (less of a runner, more luxury and creative) were constantly overrun in the middle. The amount of times Leeds were in on our back 4 was outrageous. Perhaps a game Cleverley should have started in place of Tufan, although that does stifle our attacking potential.

Agreed with what’s been said. Very poor today, but about in line for what I expected. Still not totally abject about our chances of staying up, it’ll be a real struggle but realistically it was never going to be anything other than that. Bad week compounded by 3 first team players looking at spells on the sideline.

I do think we’d benefit from a change in Head Coach but also don’t think the trigger will be pulled for another few weeks, rightly or wrongly. The run of fixtures over the next 4-6 weeks could be fatal for Xisco.

Well, positives from today, we only lost 1-0, a margin narrow enough that we could say we were robbed of a point with the disallowed goal, none of Burnley, Newcastle and Southampton won, and surely after a performance like that, Xisco has got to go. I mean normally when we're linked with sacking a manager, there's outrage in the media, but this time the people covering our game were basically saying he doesn't have a clue, so...

Well, more often than not Gino is right to fire the managers, it's just he's not always right to hire them in the first place, or doesn't provide them with a coherent team

When looking at a side's capabilities what do you look at?
Ability with the ball, athleticism and fitness, speed and experience of thought, enthusiasm - and organisation. I'm sure this could be adjusted in a number of ways.
In none of those areas did the players impress me in a good way today.
Of course, the opposition must be credited for their part in our defeat. But it must be said that they themselves have been a struggling side.
One of the biggest problems in assigning blame is sorting out who is to blame. For instance, if they appeared disorganized is it because of shortcomings in the coaching or is the players inability/unwillingness to carry out instructions?
We do know we cannot at the moment change the entire squad and we do know we can change a single coach. I have sat on the fence vis a vis Munoz, but today's game pushes me towards sacking him, as it is the only currently viable option (doing nothing and getting repeats of today is surely a no-no).
Any replacement however, is going to have to be special, because I suspect he is by no means the only problem.

Also the state of some our play today, with WTE, Sissoko and Sema all taking turns either passing or dribbling the ball out of play in various creative forms. We’re nothing special technically.

Form a low block, be compact and hurt teams on the break with our pace. Trying to arse about with it at the back going nowhere, with players not comfortable on the ball is painfully playing to the opposite of our strengths.

Yes, you're right. The neglected HH scored our consolation. Even wheh he was selected he was played out of position. Vialli was an absolute utter cahunt.

I think there are other comparable if not worse performances - 1-2 against Huddersfield in 2000/01 (they scored our goal for us and were relegated that season), 0-2 against Preston which saw Lewington sacked, 0-3 against Barnsley in 2007/08, the opening game against Brighton in 2019/20. Or the 1-0 defeat at Brighton in 2017/18, which might not have plumbed the depths of those other games, but was a complete damp squib which ended in a whimper - we could've played until Xmas and still not scored.

You can probably add the 0-3 defeat to Yoveil to that list under Zola - the 5-1 home slaughter by Palarse and the 5-0 romp at Fulham boxing day. Today was up there with those, make no mistake.

Pretty clear the plan this season was to not financially kill ourselves. If we go down it won't be with a tonne of wage debt.

Crikey Graham Taylor did it. Aidy Boothroyd did it. This is where we are at as a club and I don't get why some of you lot expect a miracle with the finances we have.
