Make of this what you will - apparently it's a lineup with many changes. Stoke City: Davies, Chester, Batth, Wilmot, Duhaney, Thompson, Tymon, Doughty, Brown, Surridge, Powell: Subs: Bonham, Ostigard, Sawyers, Clucas, Vrancic, Ince, Sima.
Is the sub goalkeeper Jack Bonham? Our Jack Bonham. Let's hope David Davies (guessing at first name) gets injured or sent off so he has to play. He was pretty hopeless as I remember..
That lineup is a disgrace. No Deeney, Gray, or Chalobah. They've been completely dropped from the squad!!!!!! Mark my words there will be hell to pay.
I’m 2 hours ahead of you here in Crete but I won’t spoil things by mentioning the final score. All I’ll say is “blimey, you’d have got good odds on that”.
No attacking patterns of play at all. Fletcher looks well off the required level, even against Championship opposition. Cucho doesn’t look that comfortable on the right to me and Sema keeps tucking in far too narrow from the left. Louza’s passing hasn’t improved- still very wasteful. Gosling’s been anonymous apart from his nearly goal (what an unbelievable save that looked by the way). Masina and Ngakia won’t be starting in the league based on these showings. Ozan Tufan the only positive from the first half. Looks up for the fight and showed some really nice touches. Look forward to his season ending injury in the second half ruining any chances of him adding a new dimension to the midfield.
Looks like 11 to me, although they are moving around so it's quite hard to count and I only have 10 fingers. At times like this I wish I was born in Norwich. Having 12 fingers must make counting so much easier.
25 shots , 1 goal. Their last 2 goals were a deflected shot and cross come shot apparently. One of those nights . Let’s hope the first team aren’t as wasteful!
Well someone on here took a **** and we went on to score, I then took a shower and we concede twice, sorry everyone
Hard to say much given there was basically zero coverage of the game so impossible to form an opinion, so I'll just say I'm not sorry to be out of the cup as I think it's a distraction we don't need this year and leave it there.
Minutes in the tank for Elliot, Tufan and Gozzers. Another goal for Fletch. Successful evening overall.
Well that was pathetic but does anyone really care? We had 25+ shots and scored one goal. Fletcher mind you, so a good second for him. It was almost impossible to get any audio for this game, be that the fault of the club/local radio etc. I feel sorry for the fans' who did go because what they saw is one thing... our B team can create but cannot score. This I see as pretty damning in regards to back up roles for the rest of this season. Am I upset we lost? No, not really because it's a distraction on what our main goal is this season. Well done to Stoke, no hard feeling there I hope they get a nice plum draw next round. Cannot really add much more, but it's the league cup. Maybe one year we can actually do well in this again.
Probably be sold to QPR in January once they realise how **** Gray is, but 2 from 2 ain't a bad record!
By the sounds of it, Ngakia didn't have the best of games, which is a bit worrying as he might be called upon fairly often in the league, similarly Masina too, but how were our other 'first team' options of Tufan, Cucho and Sierralta?
Cucho didn't do too bad, hit the post with a diving header. Masina was too busy trying to be a striker all night, proving he isn't by missing some easy chances and skying one from 6 yards out. Don't know much about Sierralta, couldn't of done himself any favours but Stokes' last two goals were a deflection and fluke strike, so perhaps hard to land blame too much.
