I suppose it depends if you spend your time in engineering/manufacturing environments, or the gutter

There used to be a pub in Watford called The Old Berkeley Hunt. Is this in the same vein as the Berkshire Hunt?

The OBH, as it was often called, was in St albans Rd, very close to the centre of town and therefore near to the Cassiobury Estate of the Earls of Essex. The actual fox hunt would often start from this estate. The OBH was, I think, quite a famous hunt in its day, related to the Berkeley Hunt, which mostly operated in the west country. Apparently (Wikipedia) the Berkeley family brought their hounds to London for the winter, as you do.
These days the most famous hunt is probably the Quorn of Leicestershire, which is why Leicester City are nicknamed The Foxes.
There is still an Old Berkeley Hunt - it's a pony club!

I think it's still very much in use in the RN without 'that connotation' "Gash barge" = tender to take away refuse.

Also judging how integrated/essential women have now become as the RN's personnel, as the term 'gash' is still in usage, it's very suggestive of keeping the meaning as 'refuse' with no sexual connotations at all.

Brentford sign centre back Mathias Jorgensen. Not sure he's any good after seeing him for Huddersfield but he's got Premier League experience and is a Danish international. According to Transfermarkt they already have seven centre backs at the club and Jorgensen makes it eight...

Tbf I remember him being alright in Huddersfield's first season in the Prem, dunno what he's like now, but he's not that old and would surely have been more useful to us than them!

Thankfully HT came at the wrong time for Palace.

Spurs need to get their act together. Missing Son, Sanchez, Romero, Bergwijn and Lo Celso doesn’t help though. Plus Dier going off injured after 11 minutes. Typical that a relegation rival gets that lucky after we’ve played Spurs at full strength. Spurs’ bench is terrible.

Spurs need to bring on Ndombele, even though they tried to sell him in the summer, and he wants out, Winks and Skipp are being bullied in the middle.

That literally sent me to sleep in the first half, second half a lot better but I’m not sure the red card will help things.

What a joke. Spurs down to 10 and being played off the park. Why are they so disinterested in getting a win here ? Should be a vital 3pts for CP.

Spurs are top of the league FFS !

I do find it odd how so many mangers instantly crap their pants and make a defensive sub when they get a red card. Some mangers will barely make subs or changes, even when the game is clearly crying out for it, yet get a red and they instantly default to a must not lose, lets defend what we have attitude.

I appreciate in Spurs case it was a defender who got sent off, so they immediately just subbed another defender on, it’s just a general observation. In many cases I think it actually makes things worse.

Lol, and just as I typed that the player subbed on after the red has given a penalty away.

Palace a bit lucky really - Spurs look a nothing team without match-winner Son, and it's taken a stupid penalty for them to manage to score vs 10 men. Annoying.

Jonathan Moss has had a shocker as well. Every decision going Palace’s way. Zaha should have been sent off for raising his hands. He’s still a petulant little **** that doesn’t like it when someone gets physical with him. That could have changed the game right there. Spurs then don’t go down to 10 men but Palace do. Amazed VAR didn’t say anything, oh wait, no I’m not.

Yes can't wait til we play spurs => easy 3 points.
That 3 points and the confidence boost for CP under new manager will be massive for them.

What is the betting today following the CP win, we see Norwich beat arsenal, NUFC get something vs Man Utd, Brentford beat Brighton ?
