It’s the Sun but this just came up on my list of click bait articles on Google: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/16030509/wilshere-sturridge-free-transfer-premier-league/amp/
There's a few on the list I'd avoid like the plague. Aurier is obviously the pick of the bunch and would take him in a beat. Would have gone for Mustafi too, but he signed for Levante yesterday. Ribery would be fun, although I thought he had retired and as a wildcard maybe take a look at Sturridge, but he's had plenty of second chances and seemed to have flopped every time.
Could absolutely get behind this. Only a few months ago he was outstanding against PSG before he fell out with everyone at Bordeaux. Would be a lot of fun, a great set piece taker and would add so much creativity to the team.
I bet Gino is having to resist the urge to sign Romero as we speak, right in the Gomez/Almunia sweet spot.
I'm still hoping that The Pozzo's have one or two defenders in mind to bring in from the free agent pool who could still do a better job that some of our current sparse mob of defenders, otherwise I fear for our PL survival
Turns out he didn't, remember there were strong links though! Suspect his wage demands would exceed what we could offer though
Kean Bryan has signed for WBA. So that’s one defender to cross off the list. I really don’t believe there are any plans to bring in any free agents personally. Hope I’m wrong but knowing our attitude to defensive strength/depth/recruitment, I doubt I will be.
I hope u r wrong too because Ideally we need a couple more specialist defenders, unless of course The Kid is planning to use other players as back up defenders and he believes he already has the players at his disposal who are capable of doing that , then we could be in the ****.
Ahh, Bob Ross. Just watched the Netflix documentary about him last night, and how badly he was treated by his business partners as he was dying of cancer. Pretty sad story...
Yeah me too. Im glad they ended it by restating the joy and positive vibes he gave out to the world as that needs to be the story not 2 money grabbing parasites.
I can't believe the club are happy with just the four CBs in the squad. It could be that they want someone who's good enough to compete for a starting position, rather than just a backup. If there's no free agents who are suitable they'll have to take a chance & wait for the next window. Obviously it's a shame they didn't sort this out in the last window.
We're going to wait until we are in desperate need of a centre back and yes, that's after the Masina at centre back myth has been blown apart by someone like Brentford. Then we might get a 36 year old from Croatia in.
Is he a defender - tick Is he > 6 ft tall - tick He therefore must be able to comfortably operate as a CH at prem level in the same way that I could.
