I kind of agree, he can play right back which is an area we need strengthening but also the midfield protects the defence so a stronger midfield can help.
Quina and Chalobah only have one year left on their deal and aren't on significant wages. If they need to sit in the stands for a few months so be it. Chalobah in particular made his bed when he rejected the contract offer and he can deal with the consequences of us replacing him. Absolute worst case I suspect the contracts of both could be terminated like Deeney and Gray to allow them longer to negotiate a free transfer.
Thing is, I don’t think it would bail Cagliari (or any Italian side) out financially in the immediate term - as we are just throwing loan offers around. I think Italian clubs seem to be accepting of this and gambling on getting a fee in a years time. There’s a lot of loans going around the summer for players you wouldn’t really think would be available on loan.
WTF are you on about, your analogy has no relation to what is being discussed, as I am in no way suggesting he is apologising to me, in fact it is quite the opposite he is attempting to distance himself from me because he obviously thinks he does sound like me. What do you think is meant in RS2's post #33 then, because if he is not apologising for alledgedly sounding like me, why has he even mentioned me?
I don’t think Chalobah is on an insignificant wage. It would certainly be pricy for the club to sit him in the stands. He also hasn’t rejected a contract offer from us - not yet anyway.
He’s obviously saying ‘I don’t want to sound like the guy who has an obsession with suggesting players out of position - but this guy has occasionally played out of position.’ He’s mentioned you because it was relevant to what he said - that’s not an apology. I mean he’s literally told you he wasn’t apologising to you! It’s just you who thinks that!
True, I think it was around £45k per week? And the reason he hasn't signed is that he wanted a significant increase which we didn't offer as far as I know.
Boy this is getting messy. TVOR - you have previous for suggesting that players should be tried in random positions. While that is your opinion, I was saying I didn't want to sound like that when I made the point that although Nandez is a central midfielder, he can play in other positions.
But I don't think he was apologising to me, he was making a general apology for what he obviously thought sounded to me!!! See what I actually said in my unedited post shown above
Has he got a criminal conviction or is awaiting trial, serious violent personality disorder etc? Such players can be picked up cheaply and are obvious bargains for a club like ours.
Well I understand we offered him one a fair while ago and he is yet to accept. The only reason he hasn't said no is presumably a lack of interest from others. I am not saying for a whole season, but would only be 3 months till the January window at worst. Query how much of that he will even be available for given that he has missed all of pre season. In the scheme of things it is not a massive cost.
Why not? Because you are basically making the same type of points I make, so why not own what you have to say without apologising to all in sundry for what you obviously think is basically very similar to what I often say, or are you so afraid of a bit of criticism that you are trying to lay it off on me
Berkeley Hunt. And you call yourself working class, gor blimey guv'nor I ain't never heard nuffin' not like it nor I haven't. Edit: If it were Berkshire Hunt, we'd be calling people 'barks'.
It's not the same at all, you seem to think players can be thrown into any position whereas I was making a point that Nandez has played in and is very good in other positions. And again, there was no apology.
I thought this signing was a possibility when I saw the number of posts, until I realised that most of the posts relate to a non apology that was an apology, or an apology that wasn't an apology.
Not a peep on SSN about it. But to be honest, between going to 'Tottenham's training ground' which is clearly a horse-racing track, talking about Ronaldo's ******* Instagram message and w*nking outside Elland Road for no reason, I doubt they could fit it in.
They are going to do an hour special on Mbappe not moving to Real Madrid at 4pm I hear. Darmesh Sheth and Kaveh Solhekol to do a 20 minute segment looking at their switched off phones pretending Mino Raiola is giving them minute-by-minute text updates on a deal that is not happening.
"We apologise for the previous apology. This apology was unscheduled and should not have appeared here. No further apologies will be issued.'
So why did you even mention me if you were not apologising, NOT TO ME, but to all in sundry for what you thought sounded like me? Furthermore I happen to think that any player who is good enough to become a professional footballer can and should be able to play in most positions, and many have specialised in one position earlier in their careers and successfully transferred to other positions throughout their careers and many are often used as a utility player. I make suggestions when I think a player could do that and believe it or not sometimes it actually happens and I do even get likes for my suggestions from others on here, though those people are mostly not as outspoken as my critics on here are. I will continue to speak my mind and OWN what I say, maybe a few more people should have the balls to do the same and not try to hide behind statements like "Without sounding like TVOR" Just own your own words and leave me out of it, I have nothing more to say on this subject, end of!!!
What can I do if I have a complaint about the apology or even the lack of apology? Asking for a friend.
