Oh that's a relief! We had a sheep mascot for Middlesex County Ladies. We named him Colin after Colin Hess, Middlesex Secretary and the face of Cumberland Club in the 80s and 90s. Colin the mascot still going strong,Colin Hess long gone.
That would be a lot of moving parts to get a deal done for Yokuslu tbf, we run the risk of being left behind, just like we did with Ivan Toney. We've clearly burned all bridges with Hughes, but would it be that bad if we kept Chalobah rather than sign anyone new?
No - i would rather keep Nat than sign someone new I wonder what this illness is - Long Covid - Don'tgiveashitanymoreitis ?
I honestly don't know, it's strange how the club seem to be on collision course with Hughes, yet Chalobah also hasn't accepted a new deal, yet there doesn't seem to be anywhere near the same animosity. Will Chalobah give his all if he returns to the first team...I don't know, but at this stage I doubt we sign Yokuslu, there just seems too much to do
I think Hughes was expected to be a key part of the team this season. He has forced a move to a club of the same level for money. Chalobah has had about 4 months of good form in 4 years. He wasn't even guaranteed to start. There is probably a bit more of a understanding that he may look elsewhere for his career. Whether that be for a championship club like Fulham or as a back up at a European club.
Perhaps, and I get that Chalobah has been...patchy at best, but I'm surprised nobody has come in for him this summer Leicester were interested in January, yet 7 months on, 7 months closer to the end of his deal, nothing
Sky saying we're back in for him, given how slow off the mark they can be, I wonder if this is a response to Hughes leaving, or whether this is old news?
He was presumably seen as a fairly cheap back up option who was available in January. Now they have time to make a more considered approach.
True, but Leicester are a quality club, surely some lower clubs would be interested. I personally think he's more talented than Hughes, and even taking into consideration that he's less proven, surely there isn't a gulf in class between the two, yet Hughes has had plenty of offers, and Chalobah has had none it seems
For half of last season Chalobah struggled in the championship. Will came back from injury and was immediately a key factor in our turn of form. On their day they are probably comparable but Will has been infinitely more consistent.
Don’t disagree. Although I think if you have both of them at 100% and realising their abilities, I think Chalobah is a better player.
Probably old news, hopefully there is something in it. It could be off the back of Success going. One in one out kind if thing.
Yeah you are probably right, but I am not convinced he will ever be 100% or at least on a consistent basis. Even by the end of the season he struggled to play 90 minutes.
Had Yokuslu on a plate and got Kucka and Tufan instead. Business done properly by the Chuckle Brothers again.
Could have had a right-back who just kept a clean sheet against Arsenal and a highly-rated actual defensive midfielder with change from £5m...
All these double-figure million proven Premier League players are incredibly unrealistic though, you idiotic dreamer.
Don’t call him an idiot for having a different opinion to you. It’s just not on. People saying they hope you die though, absolutely fine.
Also people mocking you for being open about historic mental health issues in order to belittle your football opinions - also perfectly OK.
Just tongue-in-cheek humour though ain't it? Nowhere near as vicious as say, a joke about someone being a bit too supportive of a football club owner. Grow up Moog.
