I echo what others have been saying - if this and the Lyanco deal go through it will have been a very good window.
Hopefully because Andre has thrown all his toys out of the pram because he's stuck with this problem.
Romano says its a done deal: Ozan Tufan deal has been completed, paperworks signed tonight. Turkish midfielder leaves Fenerbahce to join Premier League side Watford on loan with buy option. #Fener #WatfordFC Possible obligation to buy clause in case Watford will stay in Premier League next season. https://twitter.com/fabrizioromano/status/1428106571989635076?s=21
'Obligation to buy if staying up' is the new relegation salary clause. Gino = genius. (If I recall Holebas' release clause was different: sign or we won't release you from the car boot.)
Nah, he just has a really fat head. Stocky build, low centre of gravity. I really like him and I'm sure Xisco will love him.
Hey there folks. I'm a Fenerbahce fan from Turkey and it seems I'll be somewhat a regular here to keep a track of Ozan's performances. I may try to introduce the lad to you as well so please, go ahead if you have any questions. To begin with, he's been a Fenerbahce player for about 6 years now. He was quite the promising youngster when he first joined from Bursaspor for a fee of 7m euros, which is a quite big deal for a Turkish player at that age. Since then, he's had many ups and downs but for the past year or two, he's been developing well as a central midfielder. Last year one his friends managed the Fenerbahce team for the last 10 games. I mean yeah, literally. That was Emre Belozoğlu. Ozan especially shined under his management and he was quite disappointed that Belozoğlu was sacked at the end of the season. Tufan was actually expected to make a move for around 20M euros this summer but after the horrible performance of the Turkish national team at the Euro 2020, Ozan had his second huge disappointment as all interest in him vanished. As a player, he has great dribbling skills, quite strong defensively and he's good at taking long shots. On the other hand, he's quite the emotional guy and he should feel valued and given special attention because when he feels down, you won't be able to tell if he's a footballer or a kebab shop boss. Physically too, he's prone to put on weight easily. That comments about him starting the season overweight isn't just a one time thing. I remember stories like that from almost every pre-season reports. He'll have to be in his best shape to adapt to Premier League level. I read on the news here that the loan deal is for 500K euros with an option to buy for 7,5M euros at the end of the season and the option has a clause. It's not disclosed what the clause is but I guess it's a mandatory buy if he plays a certain number of games or so.
Better hope that Xisco's cheery demeanour and Sweet Caroline can keep him away from running Kismet then...
