That's a fairly balanced squad, far better than what we had last year and even in 19/20 in terms of viable options overall despite the starting XI being of overall worse quality in CM. Our attack looks fairly fresh and interchangeable.

We were far too dependent on Doucoure and Capoue without having meaningful cover who could hit the ground running. Only Hughes could, Chalobah needed a full Championship to get back into it. Quina is not a CM option for me but he doesn't suit wings so that's where he goes. We need at least 1 more quality CM options if not 2 such as Okay.

The sad thing is that I think we could do a lot better than we're going to. I like some of the signings, but I can see us falling into all the old traps and once again spending a season being Deeney FC bending over for him and his old mates, rather than properly utilising the new boys.
