Full time. Excellent start to preseason. Another clean sheet against top class opposition. Top class debuts, the return of the king. The goals will come for sure.
Not too bad when the first team was on, very pre seasonish though. Utterly baffling decision on the penalty. Cucho looked very classy and pacier than I expected. Watch us sell him.
I do not know from where the person got the information so I can not guarantee the accuracy, but someone posted the Watford line up for the earlier game on another forum: First match line up v Brentford: Bachmann (Dahlberg HT) (GK); Trialist (Trialist 80), Sierralta (Trialist 63), Kabasele (Langston HT), Rose (Andrews 63); Louza (Muwonge 70), Lo-Everton (Smith 70), Sema (Wise HT); Baah (Crichlow 70), Fletcher (Hunter 70), Dennis (Mebude 70) I have just discovered that the team line up is contained in a report on the Watford website so it is accurate.

Observation on Deeney: he cannot be a starter for us this season, but he looked sharper and trimmer than we’ve seen for a long time. Some wonderful layoffs for Sarr, he really is the master of the layoff.
It was announced on the WD18 twitter account before the games that Chalobah was one of the players who would be missing today, but no reason was given. Perhaps he has a slight injury.
That's very true, the problem is he doesnt have the pace or movement to get into the box and score after laying the ball off. His lay offs never turn into secondary assists. He lays the ball off, the winger speeds forward and then looks up to find the #9 is nowhere near the 6 yard box and the opportunity is lost.
Well, West Brom are in the Championship and have a rebuild on their hands with Pereira and Johnstone seemingly out the door, but that sounded like an OK performance, with a few missing ourselves. Cucho sounded like he had a good game, need a big season from either him or Dennis on the left-hand side
That is often true, but in fact today Deeney did get in the six yard box for a layoff from Sarr (I think it was) and was denied a tap in by a good interception. I don’t want to be an apologist, I’m just observing what I saw today.
