I don’t watch Manchester City games because they’re vile sportswashing scumbags and will be the death of football so it’s come as a surprise to me that Phil Foden is a very good player.

Let’s just say that their respective records don’t support your claim.

Will we get linked with that Croatian defender again, the one who looks like he’s from GOTS?

Performances over the last season means nothing - we should all be writing off strikers based on carefully selected moments from just 60 minutes of a mediocre international match.

Phillips MOTM for me. Got an assist and broke the play up perfectly as well as contributing to attack.

Well played England. Job done. Solid win. That's all that’s important. Am sure we will grow as the coming matches progress.

Decent win. Chance to build some momentum now if we can get a good results against the Jocks.

Phillips was good. Shame Grealish didn’t get a chance.

Yes. Sorry I've been doubting him.

Maybe Gareth knows more about football than me after all.

We have the players, but as usual we're stuck with a "safe" manager who hasn't got a fu**ING clue.

We had just 3 players who had a reasonable game tonight and one of them was unexplainably substituted.

Our MotM who was Pickford IMO; Mings, who I normally think is **** did ok tonight and Foden who was by far our best forward but for some unknown reason was the first to be given the hook tonight by our pathetic manager Southall

Finally, we were absolute **** tonight and ******* lucky we did not lose to the Jocks

Think everyone was hoping Grealish would have a KDB for Belgium type impact but he certainly didn’t.

By then Scotland were well in the game and we looked sloppy and laboured.

Kane needs to be on it and scoring. If you look back in history England's best tournaments were when the striker was on it. Tactics team selection and all that jazz wont make any difference without Kane amongst the goals.

Kane hasn’t been great, but we aren’t exactly laying chance after chance on a plate for him are we?

He's been quiet in both games and needs to be further up the pitch, not picking the ball up in midfield areas. Too easy for the opposition.

About last night! Lets face it The Jocks would probably rather beat "The English" at Wembley than win the "World Cup" .

Playing at Wembley against "The English" and beating them is every Scottish players "Wet Dream" and they would probably consider it the pinacol of their careers if they managed it, so they are always super hyped up when playing "The English".

Therefore if you look at it that way, the fact that England did not lose to The Jocks last night was actually a moral victory for us

The Kane that plays for Spurs doesn’t need chances laid “on a plate” for him. He creates many of them for himself, especially with early shots. For some reason he is not getting the ball in the right positions to do that and it’s a problem that needs solving quickly.

When I heard this I thought that the timing was odd.
Why not review his performance after this tournament?
The FA work in very strange ways their wonders to perform.
